if being in wt is not legaly binding (as i understood that baptism is not legaly binding), then who cares about writing.
just stop going to kh and that's all.

Some people write letters because they are tired of being harassed by the elders and other witnesses. The letter gets them disassociated or disfellowshipped so everyone will leave them alone.
Yes, they will bug the crap out of you, better to stop them in their tracks

I think some of the ridiculous and nasty threads turn people off. I know it makes me embarrassed. I've been trying to convince a few JW's that non-JWs are not evil and not bad people. I got one to come on here and check out the board but when they saw the name-calling, they didn't bother looking anymore. I think the best posts on here are the ones that intelligently and irrefutably present undeniable evidence or at the very least, turn on a light bulb of realization. I'd like to see more of that than the bitterness. I can understand the bitterness. I understand that some peope use this board to vent and others use it as an opportunity and know others will check it out...I guess it's kinda hard to find that balance for everyone.
Exactly, i know some one else who has had just about enough of it. I personally came here to find out how people are coping with leaving the orginization to help me personally deal with it.

You weren't too bad, but someone else really was. Very insulting and hurtful. I thought some things that were said were pretty cruel, and I would never do that to someone.
