  a predatory jw paedophile micheal porter (uk) who has a 15 year record of abuse including the rape of his own baby but somehow evaded jail now is a member of my old congregation;wimbledon.

  words fail me, to think of the years of shunning that these idiots have heaped upon me even by my own family and this piece of shit was seen a this years memorial laughing and joking with the congregation.

  strange that this news story slipped passed me when it was broadcast by the british media in 2007..

  Shocking really, because while at the moment he's being left to his own devices there is nothing to stop him reoffending and the Kingdom Hall will one day provide him with an opportunity if it hasn't done already to abuse a child or children.

  Admittedly the story is awful, but read the comments and tell me that the stupidity of them isn't hilarious. They sound like nutcases, they are saying quite awful things but they are also arguing with each other. Priceless.

  i don't know why but, for some reason, tonight i decided to google someone i used to date (seriously but briefly) back in the 1990's.

  i put in his name and up came~you guessed it~his obituary.

  he's been dead for over nine years!

  Ray Franz has had a stroke

  just setting the record straight.

  there is another thread that notes a claim on wiki that said that ray has died.. he had a stroke yesterday, and is in the hospital.

  reading jeff's thread about dress made me think of my one and only trip to bethel.. i can't remember if i was babtised at the time, but i went with a bus load of jws.. like someone said in the last thread, printing presses and empty rooms.

  i was very disapointed, however i don't think i had any pre-concieved notions of what it would be like.

  what i was diapointed in was so much of the "tour" was walking hallways looking at exhibits behind glass.

  i need the 607 thing down perfectly, a respected (son of an elder) i think wants to come see me soon after i mentioned 607 to a sister who works on the ministry with him a lot.

  i forget things regarding this because i have had a long break, anyone got anything useful they can link me to so i can refresh my memory.. i mentioned to this sister 607 and all that, and she said she's not good with chronology.

  i need details!.

  On a side note, i mentioned the British Museum and that i contacted a curator there and she said that although the website and the curator claim 586/7, that if i went to see the tablets myself that it'd prove otherwise. Obviously i don't believe that for a second.

  ALSO regarding the Holy Spirit. In 1st Corinthians it says the gifts would cease when that which is perfect arrives, what does this mean? i said i felt it meant Jesus...
