What's so great about the Elder's School???

i have a friend who is an eldub and he just completed elder's school!

what did he learn?

He hates his work because of toxic worldly people, especially gays

I sure I am not alone in this, but I have never understood the witnesses disdain and homophobia. I mean I understand why from there explanation but not really why any person can act so hateful towards another. I have worked with many gay people over the years and the majority were more christlike than most dubs. Kind, loving, generous. They have great senses of humor and are generally just fun and cool. When I was young like 20 years ol my boss was as gay as the day is long, but what a sweetheart, he helped me with being able to buy my first house, he had me and wife over to his house and he and his partner showed us an incredible hospitable fun evening. When i leave and they close their doors that is there business not mine. This is another example of how witnesses have no express written concept of hate, but it exists in the environment of witnesses. Such a waste of energy hating decent innocent people who are clearly enjoying the life they have.

Elder school is just a FOG factory to churn out more Fear Obligation and Guilt to be unleashed on the congregation so everyone else will learn to hate their jobs, and life in this system and work harder for the wizards of Org.

Perhaps they had multiple congregations agree to release certain amounts of funds to a false society approved project. And its not about members but came from funds

The canned answer is always God allows these things to play out (no matter how long, how horrendous, etc). Its always somehow not Gods mistake in appointing them. I know! it was a test! yea thats it. lol

Clever/snappy comeback for "you're an apostate"

JW TV is the reason for the hysteria in the KH

if you, like me, have noticed the sudden increase in hysteria in the khs right now, i put it down to that jw tv site.

its's far more extensive than i thought it was, i thought it was just 1, 1 hour program a month.

there's a s*** load of videos on that site.. and the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable".

No jonestown unless it ever imploded first, was reduced to a very small band of nut jobs, then perhaps. You'd need something to happen to make the majority of people capable of even some reasonable thought walk away first.

Belief is emotional not factual...

You are simply interested in facts, not emotions

Or, that doctrine that the ORG has changed its mind on would have been considered by them before that to be the "A" word. So was does it really mean?

The "martydom" of witnesses!

arrrghh...it amazes me!.

i have just seen more witnesses from "my" congregation manning the "literature carts".. it is over 40c / 100f temp, with very high humidity as well... and there they are...in the heat...like martyrs....earning "god points".. they are being ignored by the very few passers by....all of whom are trying to get out of the heat.. what is the point!?!

They do it now so they can post it on IG, these things accomplish two things

Shows other dubs how righteous they are
Shows the world how batS%$t crazy they are

Why waste your time in NYC freezing your balls off in early morning street work unless you can show all you other dub friends that you actually did it??? Because thats what matters.

What happens within the JW organisation?

hey guys.

i don't know if you guys all know (depends how big this website is) that i have some jw friends.

i'm interested in their belief (luckily no desire to belief it :p) because it's kind of a mystery what really happens in a jw organisation.

And to add to wannabefree's correct statements, its a bait and switch. The bait is love and positive stuff, but when you are in all the way, thats it, the cult stuff takes over. Do some research on these to models B.I.T.E if you want to know what goes on, thats a good description of what happens once you are in. Aldo F.O.G. this is the one that keeps you on a treadmill once you get in. Fear. Obligation Guilt. If these folks seem loving and are trying to recruit you its because 1. they are afraid, of what? Dying at armagedon if they don't try to recruit you, afraid of the elders coming and asking them why they aren't getting enough hours trying to recruit, afraid of being embarrassed for not trying to recruit at every opportunity and being shamed for it. Obligated to meet certain hour recruitment requirements, if you are a grown man and you don't get enough hours to have basic privileges at the Kingdom hall like passing the mice etc, its embarrassing, obviously there must be something wrong with you, and guilt. This is just more of the same, that keeps the recruitment wheels turning. about 98% of JW's do not enjoy doing this, but they have a competitive pride that will make them post on IG themselves wasting their morning in the freezing temperature doing "early morning recruiting" (worthless but racks up the hours and makes you look good), or standing by a cart in the blistering sun. The guilt makes them feel like they need to show everyone what they do and that they are the best darn witness mind control can buy!

Ever hear a run of the mill loyal follower give a comment and mention how some "might reason" (basically a practical logical thought that makes sense and is not intellectually dishonest) and as they are saying it afterwards they pause as if to say without say it "oh S%$t! that does make sense" then they end and go into the circle 2+2=5 explanation. But for a moment hearing themselves say it out loud clicks something in their brain until the cult part has time to reboot? Like: "some might say god was unjust in doing x y & z.... *pause*... thinking... rebooting, but wait no he wasn't actually he is actually more loving because I've been told so..." kills me

They didn't respond clearly because that is a trick. fading like a lot of us are these days kind of allows you to back away from it. You still aren't out. But greatly reduced your involvement or completely left it all together. But on the books you are a jw. Now if you tell them you are leaving. Or commit what they consider a disfellowshipping offense (Such as reading anything on this site or talking to someone disfellowshipped) disfellowshipped or disassociated are what you speak of and yes. You are out and shunned by family and closest friends, treated as if you died and don't exist. You will be avoided like to he plague. Amish style. More people are smarter now and more comfortable with the fade. Years ago probably most would have just disassociated themselves. I'd love to. But love some of my family and don't want to break my moms heart. So they twisted it. Ask the same question to them but instead of leave say dissfellowshipped then they have to answer truthfully . us faders live two lives in a loop hole so we never really get to leave like hotel California
