C'mon folks! Freddie is pulling ahead of Clayton.
"CLAYton! CLAYton! Yay, yay, yay! Go CLAYton!"
now, there are so many from which to choose...where is one to start?.
well, since i'm an old-timer, i must by default cast my vote for clayton j. woodworth, that inspired author and editor of the golden age who single-handedly warned the world about the dangers of aluminum cookware and vaccinations, among so many other things.. only once in a generation comes along a man with such inspired insights as to baffle the minds of mere ordinary humans..

yes, it was just 5 years ago on xmas day that bikerchic and i got married in las vegas at the little church of the west.
it was too funny, going to the courthouse with $50 in hand (cash only, please!
), and walking out to a parade of taxis all offering to take us wherever we wanted to go (cash only, please!).
Abandoned, please feel free to send money (cash only, please! LOL).
Like bikerchic said, you folks have been a mainstay for us, as we've been reconstructing our lives after the Borg.
However, I must say that it was her idea to get married on Xmas day, and it was her idea to get married in Vegas, and it was her idea to get me that fancy little Santa avatar that now adorns my posts.
Just like Eve...she has all these ideas, and I just fall for them all!

This is how we met:

and this is how I proposed (pics are gone, but yes, it was a hot-air balloon):

LOL, when we were in mid-flight, I suddenly got all serious and looked at my feet. Bikerchic thought I was losing my nerve! But then I looked her right in the eye, and asked her if she would marry me, and she said yes, and then the pilot called over on the radio to all the other balloons and made the announcement.
Then we had to make an unannounced landing in a farmer's cornfield, and the chase crew had to wake up the owner (I think it was about 6 a.m.) and ask if it would be OK. His wife got out of bed and took pictures...he went back to bed! LOL

The big surprise was when a couple of her kids showed up unexpectedly from Arizona, and as bikerchic was walking toward the chapel, out from around the corner come two of the grandkids, bouncing up and down with excitement. We let the grandson do the ring thing (though his Dad actually held the ring in safe-keeping ), and the granddaughter was the flower girl.
We stayed at the Flamingo, and played a whole bunch of nickle-slots (yep, I'm a big spender, all right! LOL).
Aw, well, so many memories!
Happy Anniversary, sweetheart!
do you know why the nwt starts verse 2 of daniel ch.
1 with the words "in time..." which are not in the original hebrew text nor in any of the english translations i checked?.
has it to do with supporting their 607 b.c.e.
In your dreams.
That is how all this started.
Alan F has never won a single point and it was I that trounced him in the discussion of 607 BCE.
And the stains from his bloodied carcass remain to this day on the hallways of JWD as a testimony to his defeat, as a warning to all who would dare again challenge any celebrated JW scholar.

What happened to "BA in Religious Studies"?
it truly is amazing how you can turn your old watchtower books into good money on ebay.
makes you want to go back to the kingdom hall just to raid the congregation library.
anyone know what the most sort after titles are?
I'm not a collector of books...just a collector of information.
However, from what I've been told by those who do collect such things, I would say:
Anything 20s: Name your price
Anything 30s: Good condition, name your price
Anything Russell-period, originals: Really name your price
However, and fwiw, all this stuff is available in .pdf from www.freeminds.org
Edit to add: I was told that there are like 3 people on this planet who have a complete collection of original 1920s WTs, and when last inquired, one of those collectors said that it was worth at least $100,000, but he had no desire to sell.
the categories are.
1: best overall poster .
2: best supporting poster.
Too many in every category!
But I do second the motion about OUTLAW's dog!...That is to say, his dog has to go outside, and do his doggy duty. Then he deserves to come back inside and fart up that cabin.
It will be like Air Freshener.
Gracie is cool!
So is OUTLAW, even if he is in the corner! LOL
That "weweechyou" is too funny! bikerchic showed me that little ditty from a bicycling website (posted by Mike T.)
And here's "weweechingyou" all a Happy Holiday Season!
well this week's book study wraps up the seventh trumpet blast of revelation.
there was even a nice neat box showing how they all were "highlighted" by something the dubs did in the 1920's.
almost all the blasts were some dry-as-toast, "look at me" speech given by jf rutherford at various conventions.
VM44:
Editor Clayton J. Woodworth of The Golden Age was mentally ill.
Easy to say, hard to prove. Do you have access to any definitive diagnostic evaluations which unequivocally establish such a mental illness? Perhaps commitment papers to a psychiatric institution? Evidence of medication history? Absent such evidence, I would submit that Woodworth was no less, and no more, a self-deluded character than many thousands upon thousands of other people who have taken themselves far too seriously than is warranted.
i am taking a world religions class online and need to interview someone of this faith.
