  Switch "Knowledge" to "Bible Teach" - Why?

  can anyone tell me (or link me up if this has already been asked) why the january kingdom ministry instructs publishers to gradually wean studies of the "knowledge" book and to start with this new release "what does the bible teach"?.

  what are they trying to hide?.

  it didn't seem like there was much to be embarrassed about in the knowledge book.. inq

  When my familly got the truth back in 1969, they used the Truth book . I noticed that in the Knowledge book the chapter on "Why is it wise to examine ones religion" was missing. Hmmmmmm.

  Jehovah's Witness skating parties were da bomb!

  was this just a local arkansas thing or were jw's everywhere getting jiggy at the skating rink?

  we used to have awesome skating parties and witnesses from 150 miles away would come sometimes.

  or sometimes we would drive that far to go to one.

  I can remember many a skating parties. Late 70's early 80's was it. I was a DJ at the local rink. Man did I catch hell for that. Back room visits and the whole 9 yards. Got DF'd in 1984. Got to be a real good skater though. Let me tell you many a witness used to come to the rink. They used to request songs that would make you think they were starving for some real fun. I played anything and everything. I used to love to skate on my off days with the ladies, you know the slow couples skate only sessions. Catch a quick feel. Man those were the days. Like a dummy got reinstated in late 1986. What was I thinking! Looking back I must say it was one of the best times in my life. SO MUCH FUN. Maybe thats why I liked it. The Borg was always so boring.

  is there enough scriptural support for the beleif in a paradise here on earth?

  i heard somebody say that there isn't.

  i curious to here any other thoughts on this.

  43 And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, You will
  be with me in Paradise.”

  The WT changes the punctuation of this verse, thereby insinuating that this would be a future event. But once again So-called Greek Scholar Freddy Franz screwed up. Jesus used this very phrase "Truly I tell you," over 70 times, and in all of these times the comma was put in after the word "you". So why would Jesus make an exception in this case? The reason of course is so that the WT could FIT the Bible to its Doctrine. The evildoer was to be in Paradise that day, not in the future. Thus this man I believe went to Heaven, not a future earthly paradise.

  Symbolic generation. Does it extend batting time for WTBTS?

  before coming on this forum i didn't know that the jws had changed the generation definition from literal to symbolic and i obviously predicted that this religion will be finished when that last 1914 codger dies.

  when i found out that they had changed their definition i thought, bloody hell this religion is going to go on forever.

  then i thought that no, they are going to fade out, then i settled on, they are going to survive just like the catholics and orthodox.

  And what about all the people who got the "New Light" before the WTS got it. I guess they must have been closer to the electrical socket.
