  New Campaign: "The End of False Religion Is Near" and the Tribulation

  yesterday my wife (an inactive-but-not-yet-df'd jw) and i went over to visit her parent's house (still very active jws), and my mother-in-law handed my wife a flyer entitled 'the end of false religion is near' with a nice evil-destroying lightning bolt pictured on the front.

  she whispered to my wife that this was a new campaign and was not supposed to be handed out until next month, but was "very excited, because this is supposed to bring about the tribulation".. they may be right.

  inside the two pages they call catholics condoning child molesting (ironic), non-jws blood thirsty war mongers, and how people involved in politics are under mind control (again, ironic), among other things.

  i am from the southeast usa, and i started going to the kh when i was about 14 years old.

  i went pretty regularly until i was about 18, then i went to only sunday meetings.

  i married my husband of 16 years, who was a baptized jw ( i wasn't).

  Where did everyone go for summer vacation?

  Free Online Hearing test

  yes we're all getting older.

  too many of us have been exposed to loud sounds.

  airplanes over head, motorcycles, loud music blasting our ears from loudspeakers, cars, trucks, tvs, a wide assortment oif portable media devices, telephones, i could go on and on.

  Thank you LadyLee I also heard nothing at the 4000 or 8000 level. My wife is always telling me I am going deaf. I do have an appointment later this month to be tested. Thanks again this test confirmed what I already suspected.

  Which is greater, your time IN, or your time OUT?

  specifically, were you an active jw longer than you have been inactive or out of the organization, whichever applies?

  i was active for about 15 years, then faded into inactivity, although never df'd or da'd.

  time out hasn't yet caught up with time in, but time out is gaining.

  I do remember back in the 70's when the elders did rotate and each year you had a new presiding overseer. I know because I was one of them.

  well, in nearly forty years of being a dub, i've read some bs but some of it really takes the biscuit.. take for example the watchtower of november 15th 2006!.

  Have You Been Divorced, Or Getting A Divorce?

  divorce is much more common in the jehovah's witness community than they would like to admit.

  probably more so than the population in general in my opinion.. if you have been divorced, do you think that the watchtower society contributed to the divorce, or caused it, or is it just possible you married some jerk or abuser and divorce would have occured no matter what religion you were, or even if you had no religion?.

  possibly you got married way too young as the end was coming and there is no marriage in the resurrection if you died.

  I also married too young because the end was just around the corner, and no marriage after the big A. Second marriage much better and has lasted over 20 years
