the sociopaths in the writing committee are at it again.... .
are you ready for jehovah's day?.
My mother was at an assembly in St. Louis in the early '40's. They brought all the young people up front for a special talk. They told them not to marry, and particularly not have children. The end was near, and no one would want to bring a child into the world then! Plus the full time preaching needed to be done. My mom is 80 years old next April.

Unless I'm the spankee?
2.5 how did you react at that time?.
3.how long was it before you somehow took action on this event?
4. was there a particular thing that all of a sudden caused you to wake up, or did doubts build over the years?
Well, I was going to post my experiences, but if you are going to try to manipulate me...................
Oh ok, so I left when I was 19, I ran off with my 33 year old non witness boss. Pure selfishness. But I never stopped believing, I just thought I was a loser. Well, shortly I met and married my husband (my age!). It was a few months later when I took him to an assembly, and tried to tell him why this was the truth and we should both get into it that it happened for me. The more I tried to explain what he was hearing, the more it sounded ridiculous to me. He had great questions, and I tried so hard to answer them with sound JW information.................But it just did not make any sense to me in my own ears. It took many years after that before I could really relax and feel free, but that was definitely the light bulb moment.
some people, even if they hear the facts, will still remain jw's.
you can talk about all the wrongdoings the watchtower did in the past, as well as all the flip flops they made throughout the years, and still, most remain blind to this.. a few, on the other hand, will start to question their faith and put it to test.. what makes a person lean on one side, rather than on the other ?.
.
Sorry for the above flipancy. I think sometimes it has to do with how much they have to lose, in real terms, if they doubt.
