They screwed up my dogs treatment!
by Bumble Bee ini posted way back in september that my dog had two bad cancers in her mouth.
we took her into the ontario vet college for available treatment options.
this is a world class, top notch veterinary teaching college.

It's true, its not "just a dog". They are part of the family, and they are your best buddy. Hopefully everything will turn out well. I'm not sure I would want to take him back to the Vet College.
I lost my 16 year old spitz about this time last year, and also my 14 year old cat. It's hard and I still miss them. My little mutt dog grieved more I did, at least he acted like it. He doesn't really like the new kitten because he's so full of energy. The poor dog just wants a nap.
Dawg, I would take up for my dog too.

Christmas Memories
by wanderlustguy inafter my mom had left my dad, the elders came by pretty regularly.
they wanted to remind her that she needed to return to her husband because she didn't have grounds to leave him.
before all this we had so many family members over all the time, cousins and friends our age, but now all of them were gone.

Movie "The Mist"
by pratt1 ini saw the movie the mist this weekend.. i was surprized at how good it was.. it is based on a novel by stephen king, how does that guy continue to crank out novels and movies?.
if you like thrillers this is a good movie to see.. i won't spoil it for you, but the ending is a shocker!.

"carrie" was the first Stephen King novel I ever read. I was in the 7th grade. Carrie's mom did remind me of a rabid JW, but she was worse than any I ever knew. Stephen King likes poking fun at religious zealots.
I could identify with Carrie. "Their all gonna laugh at you".
It's still one of my favorite books to this day.

There was a program on public television about the Islamic population in prisons growing at a fast pace. It seems that mostly African American males are joining. My ex has converted while in prison. I made him quit writing that hateful crap to my daughter. It was the most racist bullsh** I've seen since the Klan marched through here in the 1970's.
Anybody else have any experience with this? It scares me.

It didn't even hurt (Re: biopsy)
by MsMcDucket inthe doctor only wanted to use two sites to take the skin biopsies.
i felt a needle prick and that was it!
he used some sort of medical skin shaver to remove the lesions.

Mrs McD,
I'm so sorry but I had no clue you were going through this. Two weeks will seem like a long time to wait. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. At least the biopsy didn't hurt.
I hope you get good news!

Mr. Flipper's Son Gets 3rd response from Witness Mother - Your Advice ?
by flipper inso my son after sending the 2nd letter you guys read the other day , the next day gets this response from his mother.
you will notice in reading the 1st paragraph of this response , i believe the first half of the 1st paragraph is a quote from some watchtower publications or something to prove god's existence , then after in the second paragraph she gets down and dirty trying to " convert " my son back.
so here it is, see what you think , and would love to hear your takes and advice.

Mr. Flipper,
I agree with darkuncle, she is in defensive mode right now. Anytime they are challenged they circle the wagons--so to speak. Maybe after the dust settles he could just highlight the flip flops in policy and how they have cost people their lives.
A JW Mom can play the guilt card like a pro. Our mother (org) did it all the time, remember?
Your son is doing fine so far, but he may need to use the kid gloves for awhile. If you push a believer too far, they tend to kinda snap and not be able to reason( as if they really can in the first place without magazines). It would be great if he could give her a research project that would make her dig out the old bound volumes and see the differences between then and now.
