jw.org getting out of hand
by Gorbatchov init seems the watchtower staff have made a runaway train with the introduction of the mark jw.org.. the combination of using a gadget driven platform and the fact that the common jw is low educated and easely influenced.
by new occurrings in their religion makes the situation getting out of hand.. proof: gb members wearing jw.org buttons during their speech, gifts with jw.org are given away, umbrellas with the jw.org are available.
jw.org is more important then god, his son and the gospel.. it's the gadget and the jw.org mark that counts.. i am so happy my grandparents are not confronted with these idiots.. it's a runaway train heading to the end of the track.. gorby .

It may look slick, but once the general population figures out that it's the Jehovah's Witnesses, they will run in the opposite direction!
Scientology had its Dianetics book. It looked cool, and I even bought one. I read the first page and couldn't understand it. So, I put it down. I never knew it was Scientology until later on. Had I known about Scientology, I wouldn't have bought the book. But, at that time, Scientology was a mystery religion of th stars.
The problem with JW.org is that almost everyone knows/does not agree with JW beliefs. So, no matter how slick jw.org is presented,
IT'S STILL LIPSTICK ON A PIG!

US Supreme Court: Hobby Lobby wins we lose
by designs inthe old guys sided with hobby lobby today in denying birth control coverage to its female employees based on the owners religious views.
intact- is viagra for the guys.
funny how the far right evangelical owners of hobby lobby didn't want to touch that one.... read judge ginburg's scathing counter argument and opinion.. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/13pdf/13-354_olp1.pdf.

Hobby Lobby pays for alot of birth control, including pills, patches, rings. This case is mainly about the "mroning after/abortion" pill. A reason to go to a National health care system or a complete, private system (like car insurance).

How the Supreme Courts decision could spill into the JW world.
by problemaddict inso in the 5-4 decision today, the courts said an employer could not be forced to cover things mandated by the aca (specifically birth control was the point of contention), if doing so would violate their religious beliefs.. nuts.
just nuts.. here is what ruth ginsberg wrote in her dissent.
its 35 pages, but this stood out to me for obvious reasons.. "would the exemption...extend to employers with religiously grounded objections to blood transfusions (jehovah's witnesses); antidepressants (scientologists); medications derived from pigs, including anesthesia, intravenous fluids, and pills coated with gelatin (certain muslims, jews, and hindus); and vaccinations[?

It wasn't birth control pills. It was the "morning after/abortion pill". Hobby Lobby pays and has always paid for birth control pills, patches, rings, etc.
You can't force a private person(s) who own a company to pay for something that they are deeply against. Another reason for either going to a complete national healthcare or 100% private healthcare (like car insurance).

by Demokan inhello again, for those who don't know me i'm a 15 year old boy.
and recently my mom is displaying symptoms of demensia, she left the stove on today and she yells at us for watching commercials on t.v that are "demonic" because today there was a commercial on television for the new 300 movie and she started yelling at my sister to turn it off, and then i was listening to coldplay as a playlist while doing my school work and she started yelling at me to turn the demonic music off.

Your mom needs mental help. Has anyone recorded/video her doing her fits and any abuse you receive? Police will take more note if you have video and can calmly tell them what is happening. If you fear for your, her, sisters, anyone's; rationally call 911 on your out-of-control mother. Whatever you do, don't let her know you are doing this while you are video/calling. Again, act as calm and as mature as you are able. Tell them that you are afraid for your safety and her safety, becuase she is out-of-control.
Secretly dial 911, talk to your mom in a way that the operator can hear you. "Mom, calm down. Mom, your not in your right mind. Mom, I don't want you to hurt me. Mom, control yourself." (somehow say her full name and your name and your address). Or, just dial 911 and talk with the operator. I don't know the best way. But, you got to protect yourself.
When the police arrive, play back the video showing out-of-control mom. Beg for family services to start visiting your house. Tell them that you are abused mentally and physically by your mom.
Then, is there any sane family members that will take you in until you are 18? Get those people lined up and in your corner. Not even all JWs are nut cases!
Again, talk sanely and rationally with adult people.
Also, as you are a man of the house, the elders might respect you if you turn your mom into them. Again, do it with a video becuase it will be your word against hers. Again, she will be pissed as hell.
In the meantime, keep your nose as clean as possible.
Her behavior might improve becuase she knows she is being watched.
Again, talk sanely and rationally. Watch some Dr. Phil and how calmly he interacts. He comes out smelling like a rose.

shepherding call
by DesirousOfChange inyou don't say why you are inactive.. if you can control your tongue and not blurt out anything you have learned about ttatt, then perhaps no harm in agreeing to a visit if you feel the need to be polite and cooperative.
no doubt, they will inquire as to why you are inactive.. don't you know it's the truth(tm)?.
don't you know the end(tm) is close?.

Meet with them, agree to everything they say, make a good show of it all, and then go on about your merry way. That way, you get yourself a few more months, at the very least.
or . .. . . .
Meet with them, tell them that you are suffering from depression, and then go on about you merry way.
or . . . . .
tell them any hint of TTAT and expect your wife to rail against you if she doesn't already know you are struggling.

Rules on blood also apply to our pets
by Splash inwhile researching something else, i came across these two comments from a wt on how we should view the blood issue, when it comes to our pets.. *** w64 2/15 p. 127 questions from readers ***.
"would it be a violation of the scriptures for a christian to permit a veterinarian to give blood transfusions to a pet?
by all means, to do so would be a violation of the scriptures.".

My male dog sometimes humps his male buddies at the dog park. That's homosexuality! He doesn't seem remorseful. Disfellowship him, pronto!

Latest on UK Court Case - Unbelievable!
by skeeter1 injehovah's witness elder denies cover-up at church over 'massaging half-naked schoolgirls'jun 20, 2014 12:53by ciaran jonesdevoted churchgoer mark sewell rejected suggestions his seniority in the barry congregation meant allegations of child abuse would be "swept under the carpet".
mark sewella former jehovah's witness elder today denied massaging half-naked schoolgirls because he knew his church would "cover up" the allegations due to his position.. devoted churchgoer mark sewell rejected suggestions his seniority in the barry congregation meant allegations of child abuse would be "swept under the carpet".. the businessman, 53, denies 10 historic sex charges against girls and women in a period spanning more than eight years.. during cross-examination by prosecutor sarah waters it was put to the defendant that he "took the risk" of massaging topless schoolgirls because he believed his standing in the church would spare him from allegations of wrongdoing.. ms waters said: "what i'm suggesting, mr sewell, is that it was a cover-up and no-one was allowed to talk about it.".
greying sewell, wearing a navy suit over white shirt and patterned blue and yellow tie, told merthyr crown court: "not at all, no.".

The judge ripped him to shreds!
BUT . . . the article said that the large number of those in attendance inside the courtroom made no reaction. Hmmm. Who would have cared about this trial, gone to the trial? I bet that Barry congregation was there. And, why wouldn't they cheer for the victims as the verdicts were read? Or, were they in silence becuase this "fine, outstanding elder" was wrongfully accussed and persecuted by the worldly jury and judge? HMMMMMM?

Awake 1973 banned Witnesses playing Chess..why?
by Witness 007 inare all articles from jehovahs thoughts or do personal biased views poison the watchtower articles?
imagine a brother who hates chess observing in discust two bethelites playing chess...would it be right to use jehovahs "spiritual food" to push your own warped view....yes!!.
awake 1973 3/22 p.12 chess- "...the spirit of compitition between players can lead to unplesant circumstances...most families can keep comfrontations to the chess board...but for some the tension lingers long past checkmate...chess has been a game of war since its origin...a play substitute for the art of war...there is a danger of "stirring up compitition with one another" even developing hostility towards one another, something the bible warns christians to avoid..what effect does playing chess have apoun one?

My pure guess. I figured that high ranking Bethel people were playing chess. Something went wrong and feelings were hurt. So, Bethel just banned it.

I thought the big push for the overlapping generation was a just a few years ago? I know it was talked about in the past, and the WTS tried to use this to say it wasn't a new teaching afterall. Dogpatch had a really good chart on his site, but my computer can't go there right now (site is down?)
