Yes, I remember that explanation. And, my JW family hated the on-tv evangelist. The TV preachers were not going "door to door", like the bible example. When TV preacher got caught for excessive money/fraud/sex, my JW family ate it up!

No, the charges are $10, $15, $60 a pop, that I've seen. I didn't like the Kardashians before, and now I am totally NOT a fan.

This Kim Kardashian game has a "Click" to it, but said the dollar amount. Definately, a teaching moment.
Well, she cleaned the garbage cans, and washed my car inside and out tonight for an hour. . Then, a neighbor brought over his car and she washed it. He gave her $20! So, she's paying off her debt. She may even have a babysitting gig out of it.

Yes, grownup mistake too. Like Adam blamed on Eve, this is really my spouse's fault. Spouse's old Apple phone went to her, and the Itunes account on it had the CC# on it stored. I am so old school, I don't know how to even turn on the Apple phone.
But, daughter admits to KNOW she was charging it. She remembered the charge for $59.98 to buy more "jewels" for the game. She remembered saying "yes" to all the $9.98 & $14.98 charges. She has an good grade in Algebra. She can definately add. She said, "I couldn't stop myself."
Everyone made fun of me for my old style, almost flip phone. I don't have a fancy, smart cell phone. But, the government can't track how I walk and I can't store my CC information on it. I can't play games on it. It would die.
Definately like the idea of also making her work for a living. Tonight, she earns $7.50 towards her debt by washing out the garbage cans & cleaning the family truck inside and out. Every day, a BIG chore.
Yes, I am disputing the charges. But, even if I win, she still has the restrictions. Also, like the idea of taking off their allowance for bad behavior and making them buy their own toys. I am goign to talk to spouse tomorrow night to see how we can implement it.

Yesterday, I got our credit card statement, and looked at the charges. Over $500 to Itunes. Questioned everyone, and it's for "jewels" for a Kim Kardashian game my 13 year old charged. To say I am mad, does not describe it.
Today, I cut off the fancy Iphone, computer, and her riding for 3 months to pay us back for it. Everyday, she's going to do a chore. She's going to live an unplugged life. So, this morning she gets all snarky with me and stared me down in defiance. She got a mouthful from me, and she's riding the schoolbus for the remainder of the year. I am soooooo livid.
What would you do to your kid to teach her a lesson about money, charge cards?

I realized I've been *hit on alot

i just want to be left alone by them.
they caused me so much grief.

Update: They keep trying to contact me. Seems, I am an outlet for their psychosis. If I let them in a little, they try to take a yard. I've been able to get them off the phone quickly, but then some have turned to e-mail to get to me. Last straw was several e-mails that were "cut and pastes" from JW-land, after coming to several truces on their absolutlely knowing how much I disagree with the JWs, think it's a cult, and them agreeing that they woudl NOT EVER AGAIN try to convert me.
So . . . .I put the abusive people in my life on a barge and sent them out to sea. Well, figuratively. I had to block them from my e-mail and facebook. Time to take a sanity break. I am feeling better. Cutting peopel off is somethign I am against, becuase of the disfellowshipping. But, my cutting off of these toxic people is truly a personal decision. It is not organizationally based. This has been a very difficult month and a freeing month for me, at the same time. Peace.

New JW... One Can Only Dream

no more end of month time reporting.. delete one of the 1-day circuit assemblies.
may replace with a 'special meeting', such as the one we had last year.. eliminate friday from the big convention.. no more international conventions!
