I was probably 13, and I wanted to prove that the fire extinguisher wouldn't go off if the pin was still in it. You can guess what happened.

What was the worst (or funniest) thing you got caught doing at a meeting?
by danfromma inor in service, or just by jws period... me, i was notorious for doodling in my literature.
when i was about 12, i got caught drawing the led zeppelin logo in my bible by the meanest elder in the hall.
my mother wouldn't let me out of the house for about 2 months!

Q: Why don't you celebrate birthdays?
A: Cuz in the Bible, if you go to a birthday party, there's a good chance someone will kill you.
Q. What's the biblical reason for not smoking?
A. "The bible says your body is a temple, and you should not defile it, now do you mind if I get back to the buffet table?, oh, don't worry, I can always get my stomach stapled when my knees give out" (mind you, I have nothing against one who enjoys food, but I know a number of people from my old hall who this absolutely applies to)
Q. p.1 Why can't you have a blood transfusion?
A. Because the bible says to abstain from blood.
Q. p.2 Doesn't that just mean don't eat it?
A. p.2 Well, If your doctor said not to drink alcohol, would you inject it into your vein?
Answer to that profound and deep "illustration"... Well, if injecting said alcohol into my vein would actually save my life, then, yeah... tard. If blood represents life, then you would think that the thing it is representing would actually be more important...oh, and the red juice coming from your steak...it ain't food coloring, dufus.

Perhaps this should be in the "humor" section. I love how these freaks equate "scientific theory" with a layman's hunch... i.e. the 'theory' of evolution. On top of it all, it is a pretty crap webpage. Perhaps someone will purchase one of the books, and his page will be able to evolve.

Everyone so ready to bash Bush(not that he doesn't ever deserve it), even from articles that are from the Clinton Era.

I also have a friend who was disfellowshipped for polygamy. I guess I have some wierdo friends, and I sorta wish I could disfellowship them too, sometimes, but I don't. I don't because I guess I love them, like you are supposed to with your friends, even though they do some stupid shhhtufff. Kinda like the love that Jehovah claims he has for us, as interpreted by the Watchtower.

Apostates do you still read Watchtower literature? And if so Why do you?
by booker-t ini was just wondering how many ex-jws still read wt literature and if so why.
i have noticed alot of posters here know what the lastest wt or awake magazines are talking about and i was just wondering why do you bother to read that stuff since you left the wt?

I read my wife's retarded magazines if they are nearby, so if some Watchtower magazine was there I might glance at one. Though they don't cover the "Twenty New Positions to Please Your Man", so I might put it down sooner.
On the other hand, I don't think I've even seen more than one watchtower in the last 2 years, and I'm not looking for them.
The closest I come to seeing a Watchtower is Blondie's "Comments you will not hear" threads. And I avoid them (sorry, Blondie) because they really remind me of the Watchtower Study, ruining Sunday's for much of my life.

Weak in the Faith = Lose Privilages
by RULES & REGULATIONS inhave you ever lost any privilages due to being spiritually weak?
i wasn't going out in servive as much, not commenting and wasn't married to a witness.
i was taken off the ministry school talk # 2,couldn't pray for the congregation, was taken off the sound equipment, couldn't pass out literature, couldn't receive a blood card and finally couldn't receive any books because i wasn't considered part of the congregation.that was fine with me.. what were the signs you received from your congregation telling you that you were weak in the faith?.

Back in the 70's a young teenaged brother was assigned a talk in the ministry school, and my father (an elder) told him he his hair was too long. The boy got a very nice haircut although it wasn't short enough according to my father's criteria. He arrived at the KH--it was raining and windy and when he walked in the door, his hair was a bit tousled. Before he even had a chance to go to the restroom to comb his hair, my father told him he could not give the talk.
That was the last time the brother ever attended a meeting.
That sounds a lot like me, except it was the 90's, and it was some other arbritary judgement calls that happened to be elder's pet peeves.
