  Is shunning getting more intense - visited non-jw relative at jw compound

  my jw family, with whom i no longer attempt any sort of contact, lives about 20 miles away and have their own little riverfront "compound" of sorts - several adjoining properties owned almost exclusively by jws, with some rentals to various "interested ones.

  " i think the renters usually move away when they become disinterested and none have fully converted to the jws yet, lol!

  i guess spending a year or so around my jw family innoculates them with some sort of cult immunity.

  No one is responding Madame Q.. So I'll put in my two bob's worth.

  I reckon the bumper sticker was over the top if you really wanted to achieve healing.

  Personal experience has proved to me that setting a non-aggresive example gets better results.

  But then again, I probably don't fully appreciate your circumstances.

  Question on DF'ing

  if disfellowshipping is a biblical practice, why didn't jesus do it?

  there is no record of him doing it or even mentioning doing anything remotely like that.

  in fact, it would seem to me if that practice was set in stone back then during his time, wouldn't he have taken some similar action against judas?

  Blondie...I don't want to start a new thread or take this one over.......But since you are wide awake and on the ball in Lithuania...............Is there a simple answer as to why John was baptising before he met the Christ? Was this a sect that developed from Judaism before the advent of Jesus?

  A Reminder for Newbies of the Watchtowers False Predictions

  when jw's are confronted with the fact their organisation has made several false predictions concerning the time of the end, they have various excuses they use to wiggle their way out.. i thought it would be interesting for them to see how their organisation meets the qualifications as a false prophet way back back in 1922 ...3 years after they said they were chosen as gods channel after a 1919 inspection of them by jesus himself when he cleansed the temple.

  they claimed they were free from babylonish bondage and adorned as a bride for her husbandly owner...jesus.

  did abraham, isaac and jacob return to earth in 1925 as predicted by the watchtower?

  Maybe if you told us a little bit about yourself folk may be more understanding.

  We really are a kind-hearted bunch here. No fooling.

  Sure you can't give anything away to identify yourself. Just give us a hint as to what you are thinking. Do you still think that what the WTS teaches is the truth, do you have doubts or are you just wondering.

  If you tell us any fibs you'll be sprung straight away.
