when i was a jw i knew many witnesses, particularly brothers, who seriously liked their drink and it appeared that when it came to elders and ministerial servants, the organisation seemed to turn a blind eye to alcohol abuse if those brothers were being faithful and especially if they were looked up to and liked in the congregation.

it reminds me of the mormons and the fact that utah is the prozac capital of the world - when something is not perceived as quite as bad a sin as another (even though all sins are equally bad in the bible/book or mormon), it becomes the one form of escape for people who have nowhere else to turn.

Other than that, my preferences run toward brunettes followed by redheads

What are you doing tonight/weekend?

tonight i am going to be driving down to st. helens (not far from liverpool) with an aunt to drop off her car at a friends garage and then coming back with her, fortunately her friend is lending her a car otherwise we'd be stuck there lol.. saturday i am going to a bon-fire with family minus mum and stepdad (don't get me wrong i wish they were there).. sunday - no idea.... .

Update for y'alls. So far I'm two for two

Last night I took my very good friend with me to the Static X concert and rocked out hard. Here's a link to my writeup on the bands etc w/myspace links on another DB (too lazy to repost it). http://annihilhate.jconserv.net/viewtopic.php?t=698 I don't think you have to be a member to view it.

Today I had a nice mellow morning followed by an afternoon of exquisite pain. I now have three new bolt on attachments, both nipples (14ga) and a Prince Albert (12ga). I ended up with the PA instead of the ap due to piercer's preference, but I'm hella stoked still. Anyone interested in having piercings done that is within a decent distance of Salem, OR should seriously consider Jori Zan for their work. I've known her for over 10 years and she is a truly gifted piercer and one of the sweest, kindest human beings I have ever known. She's now done 5 piercings on me and innumerable piercings on friends of mine, not a single issue or complaint that I'm aware of.

After a coffee at one of my old (pre Y2K) haunts I'm back home for a bowl or two and a scotch before I go out a little later. I'm pretty sure I can handle my itinerary for Sunday, so it's a success!!!

First - Mz Penguin, I would be honored if I had the opportunity to be your date for an evening. Were I able to round up a passport fast enuf (and turn back the clock on my way) I'd be there in a heartbeat. I also would like to agree with whomever it was that said your date must be an idiot to no-show-no-call.
