What was the strangest off-the-cuff remark you ever heard from and elder or higher appointee?

i showed up for saturday morning field service and i was partnered with an elder who had transferred to our congregation in the dallas, texas area from michigan.

i told him about a recent embarrassing moment where i had played a "worldly" song during the sunday meeting due to someone replacing the cassette i had placed in the cassette player late friday night that had the correct "kingdom melody.".

out of the blue he said "about 4 years ago i was giving the sunday talk and i kept sporting a boner from time to time which was bizarre since being horny and teaching about jehovah is typically not something one associates with one another.".

I think Hoser is spot on, I'm sure there is a letter or something of this nature lurking around that actually mentions that!

Ok my Story. I called this particular incident toiletgate for reasons I will now explain.

We had this one elder who was a total hitler, always right, very opinionated, a bully, narcissistic sociopath, the list is endless! Anywho, one Thursday night he gave a 10 minute talk on the female toilets being blocked all the time. At first everyone laughed as it was just pathetic, but as he continued everyone started to feel really uneasy. Why? He decided to talk about the disposal of sanitary products then toilet tissue. He even went as far as to say how long the hand dryer stayed on for as he had tested it himself!

By the time he had finished his ten minute sermon on female hygiene you could have heard a pin drop, eventually he had to excuse himself from the platform. Car crash tv at its best!

so they asked all the kingdom halls for all the money in their savings account and then make them give a monthly payment for the rest of their life.

the reason for this was because the in-gathering is so great, that they need to build, build, build!.

now the massive building will stop..

they said they had not heard anything about a worldwide shut down of construction.

i asked if he had heard about london bethel shutting down construction.. he said no that it was a surprise to him.

Yeah millie, I can just picture the scene now. Whilst the letter is being read out to the sheeples, the ones over on JWTalk who already know about it will be shitting themselves and panicking like mad thinking they are going ahead of the org haha.

I don't want to be a damp squib but do we know this letter is actually real. It looks like cedars style of writing? If this is indeed true, it does look like there is a huge shift within the org.

Isn't this the kind of thing a corporation does before its inevitable doom? We know most of the rank and file will just put this down to jeeeeehovahs chariot moving forward. I see it as the chariot having a mental breakdown. There is a clip on YouTube from the game Red Dead Redemption, it is a glitch where a horses cart starts throwing an absolute fit! This is how I regard jeeeeehovahs chariot!

Reasons for leak and building stop story

i have some feeling about the am2015 leak and the recent building stop story going arround.. it wouldn't surprise me that the information is a calculated leak.. - jw's are informal informed about the changes and adopt them informal.. - the building stop influences the concience of jw's for donating more money.. at the other hand, maybe there has occured a financial disaster for example they invested bilions in volkswagen.. gorby.

If this is indeed true and the big project at Temple Farms has stalled, could this be something to do with the upcoming Charity Commission investigation? I'm sure the watchtower will know well in advance if it is looking good or bad for them, could the watchtower be about to lose its charity status in the UK?

Hemoglobin Infusion??

i just got the new document about blood fractions from the wt, they will allow you to choose hemoglobin, but apparently not packed red blood cells, but in the medical journal i see nothing about hemoglobin infusions, is this even possible or just more bullshit from the wt?

I'm not sure if recall it correctly but was Syria one of the countries where there are no witnesses? If so, with this present tribulation for them is it possible that this is an opportunity for these fleeing to come to know Jehovah by crossing into countries that do have witnesses? What's your thoughts?

The last sentence of this reply had me nearly hitting the roof. I think the last thing on these poor people fleeing their war torn country is whether satan has them on a leash!

Thing is, it's much harder to preach to these people than you think.

For one, they have an awkward group dynamic. If you want to preach to an Eritrean or Arab, you will have to get him by himself. They seem to feel some sort of obligation to protect each other from our preaching campaign, unless you speak to them on their own, then they're not so defensive.

For another thing, Churches and church-linked charity groups are trying to make public preaching in refugee homes as hard on us as they can. Some will allow us in if we explicitly state that so-and-so has invited us in, but there were cases where the interested people have been put under pressure not to speak with us or else be moved to more uncomfortable locations.

Satan still latches on firmly to these people. Any way he can prevent the fulfillment of Matthew 24:14 he will do it.

Sorry Simon but I have to say this. Fucking thoughtless animals!
