my first friend from JWD! man, I wasn't here for 1 day and I had a PM from you! It's been a wild ride these past 7 months for me.
I don't post around here too much anymore. More and more I am feeling like I don't *need* the board as much. Many I was close with from here have moved on. I too agree that after awhile it can become like an obsession and for some personalities it can be all consuming. I find for myself I can't start my new life while still dwelling on the old one every day. Don't get me wrong, I will ALWAYS have a huge fondness and indebtedness to JWD and all the friends I have from here.
It sounds like you are bang on track as usual as to the best way to proceed from here. Your wife and kids are so fortunate to have you, and they don't even realize it yet. I do agree that you should just "be here now" and enjoy the moment - even if that means your wife is still a jw.

my wife joined the wt and i was surrounded by drones doing their level headed best to consume my family while i am at work paying for it all.

there was a time I felt like a hypocrite. I'm not good at being deceptive. you might even say I'm honest to a fault.....
I couldn't sing the songs, comment, or go out in service and tell people I had cornered the market on salvation.
Now - I don't feel hypocritical or guilty over anything. it's the best feeling in the world.

I know some people who have gone to the library and read a chapter each day during their lunch hour. Most libraries carry an edition, that you could check out or just leave on the shelf with a bookmark in it.....
other than that, find someone who could receive a copy for you. maybe even to your work address?? my husband did this, and he kept it at work so I wouldn't know he had it.
It's a life changing book to read........ -

oh yeah, forgot about fin pivot.
I never got that one down really. the instructor could never get my weight quite right and so I never was really balanced during the fin pivot. I made a very determined effort and it wasn't graceful at all, but he let me pass.
