Rainy Night in Georgia - Brook Benton http://youtube.com/watch?v=jkkEREneIhU
I put my mom and dad in this one.
i have always been a sucker for a good soppy love song, .
last night i was wading through my huge vinyl collection, pulled an album long-not heard and spun this track on the rack.
though penned almost forty years ago, i have to say, it is still a very handsome song indeed.. coming back to me.

edited to add: thanks for sharing your husband's story!
Behind Enemy Lines makes me want to cry because the Black man was crying and upset about not being able to go in and get his friend. He was so glad to be able to get him out of there!

Have you checked out a movie (although the book was better, imho) called Bat-21? Gene Hackman was on the run much like Owen Wilson and Danny Glover played a pilot that guided him out to eventual rescue. Better acting and less whining in Bat-21.
Hubby loves those movies! I don't think there's one that he hasn't saw. I love Gene Hackman and Danny Glover; so I'd watch it because of them being in the movie.
In the case that I described about my husband, the pilot was injured. The pilot was unable to use his legs.

He said when I got there he had his gun to his head ready to kill himself. He said that the pilot was never so glad to see a Black man in his life! The pilot cried when he saw him!
i have been following this site for about 5 years never posted.
i was raised a jw.
i come from a family that takes their spirituality very seriously.
I lived in Connecticut for a bit--New Haven, West Haven, Orange area. All of the cities just seem to be a step over the line (no rural like areas in between). I found that to be so strange! My sister would say we are now in such and such city and we had just crossed a street or something... My neice lives in that area now. She's a Jehovah's Witness.
I thought that I'd find out what the verdict was going to be on the show tonight; but, no, gotta wait til next week! Bummer! Avishai, I'm tempted to ask; but I can't. Who knows, I may give in and ask after a few days of anxiety!
Anything you wanna know, pm me, my buddy is a cameraman on the show.
Wow! Cool job!
New show tonight! Comes on 7 p CST. I love Amy! What's going to happen to Matt? Is he going to jail?
