Surprise, surprise, JW's ar my door
by dedpoet ini just answered a knock at my door, about 5 minutes ago, and it was two jws.
they must either be pretty new, i didn't recognise them anyway, or hadn't looked at their list of people not to call on.
they obviously didn't know that i am a da'd witness, and i didn't enlighten them immediately.

i'm sure it's not to any of your tastes, but they have done a few songs that are, to me at least, obviously about the jws.
their vocalist and writer, glen benton, wrote an article about the jws on their site but i can't get into the site anymore.

I've never really listened to Deicide, I suppose I should, seeings as metal is my favourite music genre. And based on this thread, I'm going to download those tracks later.
Personally, I'm loving Parkway Drive's album (Australian Metalcore) at the moment, I think I've scared Twinflame when I was playing it over the audio on thomschat the other night...

Hey, just got a headsup about this thread(Thanks CHL), I'm good thanks for asking legolas. I haven't had much of a chance to get on here recently, I've been swamped with assignment work, and I've been hanging out on Thomschat alot. I'm hopefully going to get chance to check in here more frequently when all these deadlines have passed...

Yeah, I got a couple, obvious ones like Jay, or Jord from the guys at work. But in high school, I was nicknamed Dash by a few of my friends, they started calling me Jordash and it kind of turned into just Dash, which I kinda liked that nickname. And completely unrelated to that, my friends at uni now call me Flash. It came from a night when we were all drunk, and someone called me Flash Jordan, and it just stuck.

RACISM IN WT

i don't know wether to be hurt or just plain pissed.
my question is has anyone read or seen any hints of racism amongst the wt even nowadays?

My uncle was restricted from progressing beyond being a ministerial servant, because of his skin colour, they cited his extended family(two uncles, one DFed, on DAed, not even on his side of the family, they were from our side) as being a reason for not allowing him to become an elder, despite the fact that another member of the family was an elder, only difference being that he was white. Perhaps it's not racism, but surely it points out that there isn't racial equality within the organisation.
