I'm a lucky sod...
by Jordan inme and my friends at uni were having a discussion today, it began with my friend talking about a friend that was an ex jw, and he said she went so far off the rails its unreal, then he connected that to me and said "jordan, you're a jehovahs witness right" i replied reminding him i hadn't been for about three years, and he's never actually known me as one, so why he assumed i was still a dub was beyond me.
anyway, he got onto the whole "you've never had christmas or b-days" thing, i said no, because xmas is a time for families, and it's a little hard to celebrate it when you're the only member of your family that would celebrate.
well, long story short, they said the last day of term, before we all disappear for christmas break, they're going to throw me my own christmas party... i thought that was pretty cool, and it reminded me how damn lucky i am to have such good friends.

good things alway happen in november, my birthday is in november my sisters birthday is in november, thanksgiving is in november and basketball season is in november.
the air outside feels and smells diffrent this time a year.

Jordan...What is an easy, or I should say good, book to buy to learn how to play a guitar? My daughter bought one in the summer but she is teaching herself! Is there one book that you would recommend over the others?
Me? Read? Lol. I did start with "Guitar for Dummies" but then I lost the book, alot of my learning has come from reading Monthly Guitar magazines, or just downloading the tablature from the internet... try http://www.powertabs.net you have to download a small program to play the files, but it's helped me no end...

Anyone for mischief?
by bagpuss ini grew up in east yorkshire and november 4th was mischief night.
we would do all kinds of crazy things like removing peoples gates and hiding them, knocking on doors and running away - you know the kind of thing!
the great thing was we never got into trouble, after all everyone knew it was mischief night and expected to get up next day and find their garden gnomes missing!!!.

Back on subject.... I admire anyone who has the balls to get up on a stage and perform, honestly, whenever I'm being watched by more than a few people, I shake and stutter, as for playing my guitar, I can barely hold the damn thing, I go from being a normal confident person to an absolute wreck...
