JW's shunning baptized wife and family because of unbaptized husband

i saw a related thread around here but can't locate it so i'm posting this personal observation on what i would call a "high-profile" couple.

rich and bright i met them at the kh.

it starts about three years ago when a family moved to our area; a couple and their child.

Im not shocked and I have never been a JW.. I just suspect that if my husband ever goes back.. He wouldnt move up in the congregation because a woman like me aint never about to be a JW .. LOL uh uh no way no how

How do JW know they have the Truth?

that church preaches that through powerful feelings sent by god, one can know the truth of the book of mormon.

JWs work with IF THEN set up questions base in pure binary logic.... there are only two possibilities for all of their questions...and since they are the ones which fit the RIGHT possibility in all cases they present, naturally they MUST be the right religion...there is no other option!
and it is easy to fall into this binary thinking of theirs because many have been trained by prior religions to think in black and white terms and JWs get most of their converts from already believing people, they dont do well in new territories that no one else, christian has made inroads.

Man that thing right there, I knew I wasnt crazy, they do use that alot dont they ... LOL

So My Husband is Going Through the Guilt Thing Again

he goes through this every few months.. even though he is a good man, he feels like he isnt doing what jehovah wants him to do, he gets angry sometimes n all that, im like , errra uhh, isnt that a normal human emotion, like jealousy.. he said they are not natural emotions or something like that...

anyhoo.. we get into this discussion about crosses, he says that its a slap in the face to jesus to be "glorifying" his torture

So is it true that JW's dont believe that Jesus is the Gateway for ALL to GOD..
Do They only think there are special people who get to talk to GOD thru Jesus?
Like in John 14:6 ~ It says "I am the way the truth and the light, no one comes to the father except through me"
That is straight and to the point to me,,,,,

I just dont understand how things so blatantly clear can be distored and made to be something different, and people believe it..

And In Regards to crosses.. I just think that they just be nitpicking sometimes... They need to stray further from the norm so that they can continue to be persecuted and show thats who they are the chosen ones or whatever

Just get him to read 'Crisis of Conscience' and 'In Search of Christian Freedom'...after he reads those books alone his 'guilt' will stop!

I cant even get him to read my bible, I have the NIV and if we are doing a study , I will read a verse and then he will read the same verse from the NWT LOL, then Ill say seeeee, its the same... LOLOL... He is not gonna read them... I cant complain too much he isnt going ... I still just look at him sometimes like Im so sorry you think that way

So then I was joking with him about something silly and I said, see I knew you Jehovah's Witnesses were crazy.. he laughed and then said, when youre a Jehovah's Witness we will laugh at this and I said, then you will wake up and realize that you were dreamin, cuz that aint happenin buddy ... He only gets uptight every once ina while but I can joke with him and at least he aint runnin back to the KH and its been almost 2 years since we have been married LOL..

the trinity - i know some former jw's who still dont believe in the trinity, and cant fathom there being one.

holidays - i mean, can you celebrate xmas without feeling guilty and if you celebrate xmas , do you celebrate it as jesus' b-day.. (i didnt know the origin until a couple of years ago.

a lady i know was telling me that she studied for 10 years and was considered an upbaptized publisher before being baptized.. is that possible, i didnt think and organization such as the jw's would let you just soak up all their "knowledge" without becoming one of the crew... :)

although havent been on here in a while since i had my son, i came on here asking for advice because i was having trouble dealing with the fact my husband was thinking about going back to the dubs, and he still hasnt gone back..yayayayayay... and im soooo happy, he still has most of their beliefs , but thats okay, they arent 100% bad, they helped him change his life..but i dont bother him cuz i dont want him runnin back!!!

I can be kind of obnoxious sometimes. The things I posted to you, in hindsight, looked like I was badgering and upsetting a very pregnant (and dare I say hormonal?) woman. I was just sick when you stopped responding to that thread. All I could think was that because of my obnoxious behaviour, your poor boy would be knocking on doors the rest of his days.
I hope he doesnt, but if he does, i have decided that really there is nothing I can do about it, He knew what he was getting when he married me, Im a wordly girl LOLOL,I didnt know what I was getting, not complaining cuz i LOVE my baby :) BUT I am not about to be knockin on doors forcing my beliefs on people/bothering people..and Im NOT about to give up celebrating my birthday for nobody :| ---hehe

So then I realized that alot of the reason I post here is out of my own personal anger toward the wt. But when folks here need help, I have to get over myself and focus on the people here looking for answers. It was a real eye opening experience for me!
Its Ok, I have anger towards them as well, my husband was df'ed and still thinks he deserved to be treated the way he was.. Oh Well... The DFing is another reason I wouldnt become a Dub, my h eart wont allow me to treat people that way, I dont think that was the example Jesus set forth for us to follow.. But hey who am I ..and I let him know that there is No way I will ever become a witness, see, Im in my right mind, I didnt grow up in it, Im not missing anything in my life and Im not looking for anything, so Im not a candidate LOLOL...OOOOOOh that was COLD BLOODED .. haha

So now you tell me I didn't scare you off at all. I guess that means I got the benefit of the experience without the cost.

Before knowing everything I know now, when I was younger I was interested because I had so many friends who were raised witnesses.. But Door to Door and Holidays nixed it for me mainly..Oh shallow ol me ...
