  ..if the usa win their next 3 world cup games, and england win their next 2 games, then the usa and england will meet in the final to decide who will win the world cup?.

  if that happens, unlikely as it is that the usa will defeat mexico tomorrow.

  Clearly, it would decide the fate of the entire world. Citizens (or in your case, "subjects") of the losing country should be forced to wear their underpants on their heads for the rest of the year.

  Can you direct me to some copy of that legislation as it was proposed? It sounds a bit "Urban Legend"-ish to me, and while I don't doubt that you are honestly telling us what you were told, I would be surprised if the actual legislation, as proposed, said as much. Let's face it, tales like this have a tendency to spin their way through the Rush Limbaughs of the world before they reach the public, and they are often changed to the point where they sound very different than they are. Case in point, at one time, some folks were telling stories about this "liberal" that proposed a law requiring that all 5-gallon plastic buckets be equipped with a hole at the bottom so that liquid would not accumulate and make it dangerous for toddlers. The story was that they were crazy enough to want a law like this. The fact was that it only involved putting a waring label on the buckets, but by the time it made tthe rounds it was much crazier sounding.

  The Rapture is what Evangelical Christians call the time when they expect that everyone who is saved will go straight to heaven, mid day, without passing go or collecting their $200. This leaves the rest of the world with problems such as how to deal with suddenly driverless busses filled with non-believers.

  I agree that the phrase Rapture is clearly non-Witness speak, and is as out of place there as pork ribs at a Bar Mitzpha.

  my assault on 2 local kingdumb halls

  last night i printed out an announcement about the nbc dateline show, and a silentlambs tri-fold flyer off the website.. armed with these flyers, my motorcyle .

  i went on my "mission" this morning, to hit as many windshields in the local lincoln, rhode island, and pawtucket, rhode island parking lot as possible.. i managed to hit about 20, before i noticed one of the elders driving up, i was on the street at this point, and i recognized him, and he kept taking double takes at me.

  (it was norman barone, for those of you locals who might know him.

  I asked this question of you a while back, and received no reply.

  Do you have children of your own?

  For the record, I do; a 19-yo son majoring in engineering at Northeartern University, and a lovely 22 year old daughter. I am as proud as could be of them both.
