Never having been a JW, my interest began when my son began a relationship with a disfellowshipped JW. He impregnated her, married her and, subsequently, made me a grandmother. (My son was 17 and she was 22!) After she had been out of the JWs for ten years, she went back about a year and a half ago. It broke my heart. I am sick for my granddaughter. I began searching for information to help me deal with it and found this site. I had earlier tried to understand why my then daughter-in-law was so damaged and found Barbara Grizzutti Harrison's "Visions of Glory." This site has been invaluable to me.
