That's interesting. I'm always surprised when a jdub goes to college, but that's really surprising. She must be able to ignore comments that other jdubs make. I'm sure there were some who had things to say.

You will never grow old
by Elsewhere ini was looking at the quotes web site and came across a jewel: *** awake!
because all the evidence in fulfillment of bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years.
of the generation that observed the beginning of the 'last days' in 1914, jesus foretold: 'this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.

I graduated from high school in 1968 and didn't go to college because of this BS. Thursday at 4:00pm I will graduate from Arizona Sate University at the age of 53.

Athiests and Christmas?
by clash_city_rockers ini was just thinking.
since christmas is about the birth of christ, i know dec 25 was not his birthday, probly born around late sept or early oct. i guess he wanted to be born right before the baseball playoffs and world series, just kidding.
it was the early christian church that appointed dec 25th.

Aztec says:
think the real question is Should Christians celebrate the Winter Solstice?
Your point is well taken. They've taken a perfectly good pagan holiday and ruined is with christianity.

Would some of us be better off as Witnesses?
by Jerry Bergman ini have often wondered if many people would be better off if they stayed witnesses.
some people i have known have really gone off the deep end after they left the watchtower.
most all of my family have left now (not due to me as i was cut off from them for years) and many others i know who have left are now bitter atheists or have become pagans and worship stones or new ageers playing with crystals.

No one would be better off as a dub. There are many who would benefit from some kind of therapy after leaving dubland because of all the damage they suffered there.

Question: Linear thinking as compared to what?
Linear thinking as comared to being opened minded. In your mind there's this line which goes from a to b only: an theist does not do anything that is in any way related to christianity. Instead you could see other possibilities, such as atheists like to have a good time with their families, so they participate in the parts of the celebration that are not directly religious, gift giving, xmas tree, drinking, partying, kisses under the mistletoe.
If you think your way is the only way, you're lost your way.

clash_city_rockers,
What you just wrote is a great example of linear thinking. Have you thought about returning to be a dub?
