I am led to understand that some of you have no hope for your future other than an eternal dirt nap. If that is so,
I don't really understand that,yet.

lalliv01, in reference to your comment, although I don't believe in the bible god, I do have hope for my future. After researching Near Death Experiences (NDE's) and Children's past life memories, I embraced the belief that death is not the end, but an end to the particular experience we are living at the time, I am at peace and feel that eventually we will all find out what happens in the end anyway! So I try to live everyday the best I can, and enjoy this experience, and help others do the same. I don't pray to the Creator for stuff, I just feel gratitude and give thanks. I don't feel that we need to worship anyone, that idea came from mens minds.

I agree with Eclipse...I don't believe in the bible god, however, do believe that some kind of Creator made all of this happen, put all the necessary laws in place, created all that we would need and then some....and let us do with it what we may.

How Do You Get on the Cover of a BOrg Magazine?

does anyone know where the models come from who appear on awakea and watchtowera magazines?

it would make sense to me that theyre dubsa as this would be saving the societya money.

I have through the years seen many people I knew from NY in the Mags, mainly these are people that are JW Elite you know, pioneers, elders, bethelites, MS's that kissed alot of butt, my brother told me something quite interesting about the WTS's Youth video, he said that a few of the kids that were on it were living double lives, involved in drinking, premarital sex and so on, but in the KH were little saints, he knows because he has always been on the fringe himself and hung out with them, he said alot of those kids are no longer JW's. Wow and to think, I used to beel so inadecuate because I couldn't be a Regular Pioneer!!! boy am I glad I never wasted my time in that way, now!!!

God help me - Just finished Crisis of Conscience

i don't know whether to laugh or cry.. a friend lent me coc yesterday and i stayed up most of the night reading it.

it took me 13 hours and i skipped the meeting today to keep reading, i couldn't bear to put it down.. i am shocked but not surprised at how closely ray's thinking mirrors my own in some ways.

the part that hit me hardest was.... "conviction, it has no meaning or validity unless it is individual, personal.

Welcome, It's wonderful to see another person has been freed from the brainwashing!!! When I first found out the truth about this organization it was like the rug was pulled out from under my feet, everything I ever believed and knew as truth, I came to realize was just a lie!! It was very scary in the beginning, but it only gets better and better! I am free now, and have helped many others free themselves from this lie! You have come to the right place, the people here are great!!! Many here believe different things (and disagree at times) but mostly we all support, and help each other, this is a true brotherhood !

have you ever sat at a convention or assembly and heard an experience from the platform about how some asswipe pioneer received a bundle of cash for their car repairs, "just in time to keep going in the pioneer service".

or some other form of material advantage, credited to god as the provider.. now, let's for a wee minute, assume that these were actual blessings from god.

This is so incredibly annoying.....I hear it all the time from my pioneer mom, she absolutely believes this, every time she is hard up for money it is us apostates (all of my brothers and sisters) that help her out.....but it is Jehoover that gets the credit!!! Like someone else said, they use the excuse that "Jehoover moved that person to help them"...give me a freakin break!!! Sooooooo.......now whenever she want's to go on vacation we don't contribute for that....let Jehoover move some of the brothers at the Kingdom Hell to help her....we always help for necessary things, but luxuries....hell no, if she wants those, she should get a simple job helping the old people in her building, which she has already been offered but refused becauuuusssse........"it would interfere with her pioneering hours", the whole situation just aggravates the hell out of me!!!!

I was asked that question also and I said, I don't need to go anywhere, I've finally found myself, I am finally free to think, act, believe as I want, and I've never been happier! I found God, or as I prefer to say "The Creator" just looking at a beautiful sunset, at nature, at myself, I am greatful to whoever put this place together. But nowadays I don't feel a need to worship anyone since this act was started by humans and is spoken of in a book I no longer believe in. We teach our kids to be tolerant and respectful of others ideas and to show love whenever possible, and we teach them to be greatful for each day we are here. My children are very happy and have many freinds now, leaving was the best thing we ever did!!!!

Terry thank you for this post, it really is very interesting! I am with Mary, in that I do believe in a Creative force of some sort, which started everything, put it in motion. I do not however believe in the bible god, after researching the bible with an open mind, the once cherished notion of inerrancy and revelation just falls apart. I don't believe that there is a almighty God who is directing and monitoring all activities here on earth (look at the crap that goes on), or that he needs our worship, I think we are here to live this experience and make with it what we will, I try to focus on the positive as much as I can, enjoy this experience and leave this earth in a better way than I found it. There are things we will never know, but I choose to use my own reasoning to dictate what I will and will not believe, but that's just me!

I also agree that this site is extremely important!! When I started opening my eyes, I first found e-watchman's site, it helped me to begin questioning the Borg...but I didn't stop there, before long I found JWD and although it was scary in the beginning, I kept lurking and reading and researching....and eventually the blinders came off! I don't post as much anymore but always check up on what's going on here and have referred quite a few that are now lurkers and some members on here....soooo it really is a valuable tool to help these poor people open their eyes and join the real world, THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!
