<<I think this is a case of some idiot obsessive JW sticking their nose in where it did not belong>>
That's what I thought. Not my mom's experience's, this was my friend's mom that this happened to.

Has anybody successfully quit using caffeine altogether?
by DanTheMan inmy anxiety and stress levels are really bad lately.
i think i'd be doing myself a favor to quit caffeine, as it has become a real catch-22 for me, where i need it to stay awake, but it causes me to lose sleep, so i need more of it to stay awake, etc.. i've learned through experience that i'm very sensitive to any sort of chemical substance that affects neurotransmitter flow, and, given my general propensity towards depression/anxiety/paranoia/add, i think that at least one thing i could do to give me a calmer, more stable neurotransmitter mix would be to eliminate caffeine.
i've tried to reduce before, and i've found that i just start making excuses to have a little more, a little more, until i'm right back where i started.. so, i'm just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience where they felt the need to not just reduce but eliminate caffeine altogether, and if so, how did it go, did it help, how long has it been, etc.

I've tried a couple of time to quit but it never lasts more then a few days. Once I made it two weeks but then I caved. I loves my morning coffee!
I have cut back and now try to only have one a day. (mind you it's a large one)
Tea is NOT a good sub for coffee. What I found to work the best is to cut the regular coffee with de-caf. Start out 1 part de-caf to 3 parts regular and just increase the de-caf gradually over a few weeks.

get buried next to jws? I told him that I didn't think it mattered who got buried next to who (I mean dead is dead right?)
Apparently after his dad died his mom was df'd and she was told that as a result she would no longer be allowed to be buried next to her husband when she died. He said the witnesses got so nasty about it that his mom ended up getting his dad exhumed (oh gosh sp?) and re-buried in a different cemetry to insure that her wishes of (eventually) being buried beside him would be followed thru on. (Ha ha Go Mom!!)
I told him that I thought this wasn't normally done but now I'm questioning it, is it normal for jw's to not allow df'd persons to be buried next to thier jw relatives?

How big is the Watchtower carrot?
by Honesty ini don't want to brag, but i have good news!
one of the elders said that i progressed considerably in reading and that after i get baptized, he wants to use me as the brother that reads the paragraphs in the watchtower study.
i went from being frightened of raising my hand to comment, to the possibility of me being the one reading the study for the congregation.

Loosing a pet is one of the hardest things to go thru. I know that I get attached and bond as of they were my babies.
There are hairless cats (kind of strange looking) that might satisfy the cuddly pet requirement instead of lizard or fish? -

Still in one piece but the wheelchair isn't
by Lady Lee inwhat a day.
i was out gallavanting around - buying one thing here another there and finally heading home.. the chair hit a bump and the front wheel broke off sending me flying with the chair landing on top of me.
personally i think it was a temper tantrum designed to let me know they were tired and wanted to ride me for a while.. i had just passed a man sitting on a bench waiting for the bus and he rushed right over to help.

Glad you're ok! What luck to have the paramedics go by at that moment?
Did they have a time fame for getting your chair fixed?

<< omit the fact that they supported the idea of each creative day being 7,000 years each, meaning that, in previous WT doctrine, the earth is less than 50,000 years old. The evidence weighed in too heavily against their former position, so they had to recreate their position distancing themselves from the fundies yet presenting their "evidence" in a way that can be accepted by the R&F who want to believe and will not read this material with a critical mind.>>
I didn't realize that they had changed this. Do they still believe that humans are only 6000 years old?
