i am writing to gather consensus on what are the most incontrovertible evidences against jws.
i am working to 'deprogram' my wife and am trying to compile a list of those things that are the most difficult to stand against.. for example, i believe that the jw treatment of 'false prophets' and their distinction between those who are simply overzealous and those who are just plain wrong looks silly in the face of their historical blunders.. any opinions would be very helpful, especially with web-site references for good sources of information.. thank, y'all are super helpful.
The first and foremost right of any human being is the freedom to think for ones self. Any person, government or organization demanding that you abandon that God given right is something to avoid at all costs. The 1980's watchtower article on "avoiding independent thinking" was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

Pre big bang theory belief held that matter and the universe has always existed. What you're saying is that matter either always existed in a finite point, then becoming the universe as we know it or that matter always is/has been oscillating between the two states.

I've also been reading the Urantia book for a few years. IMO it offers a sensable explination of mans relationship with his Creator, his origens and destiny.
I found it interesting that it takes the non-trinitarian view of Jesus as well as using the name Michael. I always thought these ideas, taken together, were unique to JW's. I've done some research trying to find a connection between Rutherford and Kellogg, no luck so far.

How do you think this evolution from animal to spirit would take place? Will we be transformed immediately after death? If it's an evolutionary change, what kind of intermediate form would we take?
I know this it's speculative and I'm not necessarilly disagreeing with you; just curious about what you think.
