take it easy lola28, sound like someone rip you off. How are things in BELIZE? I was there for the building of the kingdom hall in San Ignacio in 1977-1978. Is it still standing? I came from calif, my wife and two kids and a third child born there. We live in San Ignacio for one year.

Senior Citizens......How does your congregation treat them?
by crazyblondeb innot as good as they use too... but then again they are following the lead of the wts.
why bother with fellowship when you can plug everyone into the telephone.. one one hand they are pushing fs, on the other they are making so many changes that several of the elderly are getting depressed, especially ever since the may 1, 2007 qfr.
with the afternoon bs soon yanked, many not allowed to drive at night, and elderships that don't care enough to orchestrate carpools....it is bad..

some years ago there was a sister who was responsible for many in this area for coming into the borg. Well known in this area. She pioneered for over 50-60yrs., of the 144000 etc..She had one son he wasn,t a JW, he live in another country. They rarely communicated. After years serving that organization and at a age of late 90,s and could not get around any more the brothers contact her son to take care of her. The son told the brothers what do you want me to do ; my mom and I have not been close in years. To make a long story short my sister and her elder husband took her in..If they had not taken her in , she would have been put away in some old folks home and forgotten. My sister and her husband attended a different cong. when the sister became ill.

Question on two types of JWs in the earthly New System
by Dogpatch ina friend writes:.
as a witness, i often wondered why the society spent so much time proving that jehovah disposed of jesus physical body.
who would choose the earthly hope of being confined to a purely physical body on this tiny earth for eternity when we and our loved ones can be like christ, enjoying eternity in both a new heaven and a new earth, where the physical and the spiritual will be connected in a way that is beyond our imagination?

I did not start my journey too become a atheist , but to strengthen my faith. But the more research i did the more i begain to distant myself from the belief of the bible. I spent a year in the book of genesis, I could not get past the first 13 chapters.

I believe in intelligent design. As men grew in populating the earth and communties develop there was need for order, so God was created. Man needed rules,as one comedian stated people were falling in love with sheeps, goats, etc. Stories were told such as the flood, adam and eve. It was a lot easer too say it came from god above, one you do not question.I feel the earth wasn,t created for US , we are here for the ride.

Teenage Behavior: DF'ing Not Necessary
by metatron ini have observed a number of witness teenagers who left the 'truth'.
i have also observed that most of them end up as responsible members of society as a result of their own path to maturity - and df'ing doesn't help the process.. the typical duty of most parents of teenagers is to prevent their offspring from doing drugs, getting pregnant, crashing a car or going to jail.
once you get beyond that, most kids get tired of hangovers, get wise to their foolishness and settle down into conservative behavior that matches their parents.. what they don't need is interference and judicial examination by external busybodies who can separate them from their families and friends at a deeply critical moment in their lives.

Parents with JW Adult Children Shunning Them - How Are You Coping ?
by flipper ini do understand your plight - as i have 2 adult jw daughters shunning me aged 21 and almost 20. they married witness boys 2 years ago and it's been 1 year since i've spoke with my younger daughter, 5 months since i went to coffee with my older daughter.
i call them, but they won't return my calls.
i tell them i love them, but it's as if i don't exist.

let say in two years they abolish the shunning policy. Our children and other relatives come too us and
state, we can talk to you now, New light. We have a new understanding. So after 5, 10 , 20 years we can go on like nothing has happen. For me there,s too much damage.

i HAVE BEEN OUT SINCE 1987. Four kids . Two still in. Two boys and two girls, the two girls in. It ,s understandably that the girls are still in. Over the years the boys mother tried shunning them, but we went on with our lives, the boys and I. As time past she started to communicate with them. My youngest was never baptize, my elder son was but never disfellowship. My youngest daughter stay in commmunication with me, but my oldest a different story. She have two kids. One is around 10yrs. old, I seen her twice, the youngest 5yrs. old , I have never seen. My kids think that it is not the org. so much with my daughter but the divorce. She recently told my son , she still blame me for the failures in her life. She is 40yrs. old. I figure as she experience life, and realize everything is not just black and white, then she might come too her senses. I have told the kids when I die my will is made out for three, she do not need any of my evil money. My son told me my daughter needs mental help.

The most inappropriate remarks from Jehovahs Witnesses
by jambon1 ini have a few which still either anger me, make me sad or just make me grateful that i am no longer one of them.
1 - "well, everyone is going to die anyway, so if it at armageddon then ce la vie" 2 - "the disater today at the world trade centre is sad, but exciting" 3 - (an elder) "when armageddon happens, i want to be at a window, watching it all".
sick, sick, sick!

It would be good to send all these comments too your local newspaper so that the public can see what nice people the jw,s are. We do not have love for mankind, we hope you all die soon. We can not wait until you all die so we can move into your homes. I did not realize how sick these people were when I was in.
