I have had a pretty screwed up life, as a lot of people who post on here have had. This last year has seemed to be the worst I have experienced. Growing up the way I did, and now seeing how we were lied to, controlled, and not given choices, I now have no trust in anyone or anything. I have very few people in my life that I can call a real friend. And mostly that is because of the way I am about not ever letting anyone get too close.

That's Tinky Winky. He is the one who is male, yet carries the pocketbook. Jerry Falwell said he was gay. He also has the triangle on his head.

36,350 of Jehovah's angels could bring an end to the old system
by Gopher inthe world's population at this moment is approximately 6,731,780,000. http://www.ibiblio.org/lunarbin/worldpop.
one angel can execute at least 185,000 humans overnight, according to the bible's account of jehovah wiping out the assyrian army in ancient times.. so take the total 6,731,780,000 and subtract 7 million faithful watchtower adherents, and you are left with 6,724,780,000 non witnesses worthy of everlasting destruction.
divide those 6,724,780,000 humans by 185,000 that 1 angel could take out, and you get 36,350 - the number of angels necessary for complete annihilation.. since there are, as per the bible account, 100 million angels -- less than one-tenth of one percent of all the angels would be needed for this merciful judgment of jehovah's execution.

Ugh. All that math! Now my head hurts. Too bad I wasn't encouraged to go to college. Maybe I would have had a decent reply to post. :D

I mostly read, also. A lot of times I just don't feel as if I have anything else to add to the discussion as others have adequately covered everything that could be discussed in it.

As a JW, did you ever stand for the national anthem ...
by Frequent_Fader_Miles inmy conscience wouldn't allow me to do otherwise.
after all, this is the country that schooled me and fed me.
i use all the infrastructure here, and am entitled to all rights and benefits that any other citizen was entitled to.

I always stood. And my father did also. I never knew it was such a big deal until years later.

Former or Current Elders, MS, Pioneers.......Did you enjoy these positions?
by R.F. indid you ever enjoy serving in this way or did you view it more as, "it's the thing that's encouraged, so that's what i'll do"?.
im currently a ms and pioneer(will shed this one immediately) and before i ever were appointed these, i always wanted to.
i thought it was a pretty cool thing for someone my age to be instructing the congo, and to have so many look up to you.

I was a pioneer and I never enjoyed it or felt any "joy" in it. I became one because I didn't feel "joy" just being in "the one true organization." I thought that maybe this would help. Well, it didn't. In fact it showed me more so everything that was wrong with this "organization."
