  we named him dylan rhys.

  he's a cute little thing and such a good baby.

  How do you feel about piercings?

  I think they are fine. Currently I only have my ears pierced. One hole in my left ear, and four in my right, two in the cartilage.I used to have my tongue pierced, but I took it out when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I had read that it could possibly cause a bacterial infection in the mother which could lead to the baby getting it and possibly death. I went a little health nut crazy when I was pregnant. Lol.

  i'm not criticizing anyone's decision to da themselves...just wondering what the advantages are.. if the whole da thing is something made up by the gb why make them happy by playing by their rules?

  how are they hurt by your decision?

  I tried to just fade away. I felt that DA'ing myself would just be recognizing an authority I no longer believed in. My mistake was though that I would occasionally go to a memorial every year or two. So, when I was unmarried and pregnant, the elders wanted to talk to me. I never did. They DF'd me. Now they still bug me every once in awhile. LOL. I've never really been shunned. Whenever I see a witness I make it a point to smile really big. Most of 'em smile back. Mostly they think you can't be happy outside the org. Oh well, I'm not totally happy but I sure as hell am not miserable like I was when I was in.

  Of all the people on tv that my mother says is demon posessed, I actually have to agree with her about Nancy Grace. Very annoying woman, and my Dad loves to watch her. Lol.

  Attending meetings by phone!

  *gasp* some congregations give or loan out phones?!?

  My parents listen in on the meetings. They have for about 3 years. My mother can't drive at night because of eye problems. And we just don't let my father drive.

  They've gone through at least 3 speaker phones because of listening to the meetings. They just wear out.
