i have looked up alot of information on cainine whelping that seems helpful but do any of you have any advice or personal experiences in the doggie birthing process?
i still feel kinda nervous about the whole deal.. .

they are part of my family and yes, i do pick them up, hug them and kiss them everyday.

Today I had to take the goup down to the vet.
One of our little brown puppies was having a real hard time nursing and lost weight.Poor little baby girl was born with a severe cleft pallette. unable to nurse and with fluid in the lungs, I let the doctor make the call. Dr. White shed tears while telling me the best thing would be to euthanize her.
We left little brownie in his very loving and caring tear stained hands. Momma dog is still looking around nervously for her baby. Tending to her little ones left but sits at my feet whining. I hope she will stop searching for her puppy soon, I feel so sad for her because she really tried to nurture her weaker babe to no avail.
