It does sound like WWII propaganda. Work, work, work, and you will be free... or how about this one - Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Fuhrer - One People, One Leader, One Nation - sounds like JW propaganda wherein they are "one people", they have "one centralized leadership group", and they are a "nation of god"... here is a thought.... maybe Goebbels borrowed the propaganda from the Dubs..... hahahahahaha

The Most bizzare & Scariest thing happened to me last night
by dm6 inhello everybody.. i wanted to share something with you all about something that happened to me last night.. i usually get these things called sleep paralysis, which is where you are alseep and you wake up and you think, oh ill get up now or soemthing, so you go to get up and you cant.. your actually paralysed.
but the strange thign is your awake....?
its very very hard to explain.

Damn, you have a gift many would kill for. I too have had them, but few and far between. In reality this is a perfect time for you to control your dream and basically do whatever you want to do. I would not induce panic as this will make it far worse. If you don't like the feeling, you need to tell your brain your awake. You can do this by starting to breath faster, yet remain calm, which will take you out of this "limbo".
If I were you I would use this to your full advantage and enjoy the "trip"... take care.

I often wonder to what extent the WTS may have used the propaganda of the 1940's, both here and abroad to control the masses of dubs? Me thinks Goebbels would be proud of Knorr, Franz, Rutherford, etc....

i really enjoyed the assemblies and checking out sisters - in fact one year we invested (we were around 16-17 yo) in small transmit/receive devices - actually pretty cool....

I'm spiritually refreshed, can I borrow $ 7,000 ?
by man in black inwe know an out of state couple, (early 40's) who have been jw's for most of their lives.
i'll call them dave and kathy.. when they got married 15 years ago, kathy was a hard worker who did this religion mainly to keep her parents happy ( dad was the po).. dave was starting his own business, he never held a real job in his life, and he was pretty zealous for the jw way of life.. over the years they had their ups and downs, but around 5 years ago they both stopped attending the meetings, and were doing a textbook "fade".
we would hear from them about every 2-3 months, and his business seemed to be doing well, kathy was a stay at home wife who worked pt at home doing computer work.

I have been asked in the past - I usually tell people that money has ruined more friendships in the history of the world than anything else. Because I value our friendship I cannot loan you the money in the event that something happens and I am not repaid. However, with that in mind I offer to help them by sitting them down and planning some sort of fiscal sheet on how they can manage their own money. I usually get the thanks, but no thanks. At least I still have my friends... oh thats right they all left when I left the cong...

DID A LITTLE UNWITNESSING IN A STORE TODAY!!
by clarity incouldn't help myself ... maybe the devil made me do it.
there i was shopping, noticed three young men with backpacks...guatemalan, maybe early twenties.
seemed very out of place and nervous.. after about a 1/2 an hour i looked up ......and right there in the aisle where they were ... was a jw ... pushing and i mean pushing the 'image' tract and some books onto these boys.. you'd think they could understand every word the jdub was saying, 'cause he just carried on with his sermon.

What do you think of this argument?
by Druid ini stopped being a jw altogether when i went into college and took philosophy classes and started thinking for myself.
i understand a lot of you former jw's are still theists, in fact it seems probably the majority of you are.
i am agnostic, meaning i don't feel there is enough evidence for against either cause to subscribe my lifestyle to one belief.. .

I am so going to laugh my ass off if something bad does go down, and the vast majority are waiting for Jehober to step in and he never shows. What a let down...
