  it would seem that everyone took of the emblems in the first, second, + centurys.

  yet, 2000 years later the wts puts a limit on the partakers?

  New ASSembly hall and property cost

  found out that the land by itself was bought for cash at the tune of $1,250,000.00 - land size is approx 600 feet by 1000 feet - in the desert, small town between two major cities.

  no idea what the building cost!

  Colossians 2:16 - Why not addressed when the subject of Holidays arises?

  i find it funny that the wts ignores colossians 2:16 with regards to "pagan" holidays, yet will allow such pagan rituals as a wedding ring, "white" wedding, neck ties, etc; all the while making half ass attempts at justifying wind chimes and how they are a conscience decision.

  does not colossians 2:16 basically allow anything, and not to judge?

  if you research the book of job it becomes appearent that job was celebrating his kids birthday, and yet he "walked with god"... what gives??

  What the hell are you doing going to a THIRD PARTY for advice????? Jesus, Christ, the situation is between you and your husband, and God, if you believe in god. NO ONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!! if you can forgive your husband, then fine, that stays between you and him, no need to air the laundry with strangers that have no business knowing your personal life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  A letter arrived in the mail

  my wife received a letter in the mail from a jw she had known from school.

  we have seen this sister about twice in the last ten years; the last occasion was 4 years ago.

  she lives in another congregation a few miles away.. this sister heard that we had been "recently discouraged" - those were her words.

  my sig other thinks i can read minds or something!

  she doesn't want jewelry - just bought her a diamond ring for her b-day.

  she has a new laptop, perfume, clothing, etc... i have no idea what to get - she actually told me not to get anything... does it look like i have stupid written on my face :).
