Funny how they don't even celebrate it in Mexico... the big one is Sept 15.

6รท2(1+2)=x
X=1
6/2(1+2)
6/2(3)
6/6
6/6 = 1
For X=9 the formula would have to be written this way:
(6/2)(1+2)
Google is calculating it like this:
(6 / 2) * (1 + 2) = 9

Counselled on chatting to a study!
by Penn9 inhey all, i'm new to posting, but i've lurked for a while.
quick intro: i'm a 25 yr old guy, brought up a jw, strayed for a while, then got baptized convinced it was the best thing for me, the rest of the world is satanic, etc.
i overcame that ridiculous belief and i know the truth about "the truth" but my friends and family are all deep into the cult so leaving is a huge risk that i'm not willing or ready to take.

I agree Pirata - I think Penn should rethink where he wants to take this relationship and make arrangements to move on and out so as to lead a normal life with a normal lover... JW women/men make a BAD choice for someone who has doubts about the org...

"Tell the elders that you have been stumbled by the stumbling "
This isn't a lie, actually. I've been depressed over it. I can say "I'm stumbled by the fact one of my loving brothers and sisters would assume such false things about me. I feel like I can't trust anyone and I;m disappointed that they don't trust me."I'm not sure what the next move is. What do I do if I smile at her and she quickly looks away as if she just saw Satan himself? Because that's pretty much what she's doing!
And thanks for the welcomes... I'd like to post regularly but i'm already paranoid that someone will know I come here. Sorry, i AM still a JW, hence scared shitless and stupid. ;)
Immediately inform the Congregation Overseer that you want to know WHAT was said to her as you believe your good name has been slandered over this innocent incident. If he refuses tell him your taking it to the CO/DO or Bethel.
I would not let this go. Do you really want to sit idle and know people are talking shit behind your back? You do have the right to know what was said. If you feel like they are blowing smoke up your ass, tell them your going up the chain of command.
I can tell you this, depending WHAT was said and by WHOM they may have very well soiled your name among the cong, and we all know how that gets out to the broader conventions... you may very well be known as the horny young man of the XXXX Cong. Take action now. If you were older they would not have pulled this shit, its because of your age. Be a man, and act accordingly or they will forever shit on you...

Well dimensional theory does exist and the CERN project will quantify this. Who is to say that these "demons" or whatever, when takn out of the "spirtual" context are nothing more than beings on a higher dimension?

Dude silver is going to tank and we are heading towards DEFLATION - spiral down. A lot has to do with QE and or debt limit adjustment, but when the BIG boys start shorting/calling silver you either play or get your ass handed to you...
You are better off buying food, and other TANGIBLE commods as in both a deflationary and hyperinflationary situation JiT becomes non existant and the things you need for survival are few and far between...

Dude as young as you are, I would find a job in another city or state and blaze your own trail. Maybe go to school also. Hell the sky is the limit for you. Relocate, live your life, and enjoy...
Oh, and marriage at 20? Ain't happen in the next life... be Johnny Apple seed, sow your oats, and when you find the right girl wherein sex does not cloud your judgment settle down, if you so desire...

JW's are VERY nice people? WTF???? Drink any Kool-aid lately...
Penn, just go for it. When they jump you again ask them to present the accuser so that you may scripturally talk with them - quote Matthew 18:15. Sounds like an excuse for someone who is jealous. I would blow off the "counsel"...

crisis of conscience
by inbetween inwhen i was fully in, i never even heard of ray franz or his books.. after learning the truth about the truth, what woke me up, was in the first place the inconsistency of doctrine, the missing logic and the bending of the scripture to fit their theology.. personal experiences i took with a grain of salt.
therefore, even though i learned about "crisis of conscience" i did not bother reading it.
personally i did not doubt, that what he wrote would be true, but i thought, it would not help somebody to get out, because, its his personal experience, which proves nothing in the end.

I've never used one, though I have used other methods and they were tangible. It was a surreal experience - went in wth an open clear mind, and came out of the session believing in something else being out there, perhaps on a different plane or dimension.
Why does everyone assume that contacting the other side is evil or "demonic"? The ancients believed that the other side could help you. It was ONLY until Christanity came around did it become forbidden!!!!!!!! Think about it for a second... why does YHWH NOT want people to practice or delve into the spirit world? What information can be gained that all loving (puke) YHWH does not want you to know... keep living in fear - as for me and my household ANYTHING is game...
