Did you ever get a speeding ticket or make an accident, serving Jehovah?
by JH in.
i know an elder who made a couple of accidents and scrapped his car more than once going to the kingdom hall or assembly hall out of town.
i guess that the angels weren't looking after him that day.... i even remember a brother making an accident with another brother in the field service...lol.

Why I know Satan doesn't exists
by DannyBloem inwhen i was growing up as a jw i had (as most others) a masturbation 'problem'.. the broblem more was that i felt guilty, and not happy.
this caused my concience to grow very weak.
because of this repressed desires etc, i would have done anything for a woman.

Because of this repressed desires etc, I would have done anything for a woman. But that is not easy to find inside the borg. So never came one along.Since I would almost have given my soul for a night with a woman, Satan can not exists otherwise he should have given it to me :), But instead I became a 'good' JW pioneer

UFOs - secret military projects from planet EARTH?!?!
by zagor injust finished watching this discovery program, that makes convincing case that ufo are nothing but very advanced military projects that have been going on for years.
in fact, it all started in nazi germany, and the company that was commissioned to produce them was none other than skoda , car company from czechoslovakia.
interesting indeed.

UN Question
by kilroy2 ini was thinking about the society being involved in the un, and then thought that they preached that the un was going to destroy all religion [nondubber] soon.
so when they got involved in the un do you think it was because they know that they are full of shit?
or do they justify their bull shit by some nonsensical reasoning?

This is also the question that occupies me, since I visited this board. I can almost not imagine that the GB do not believe it themselves. I know the elders and CO, bethelithes etc. They believe it wholehartely (somethimes maybe with some doubt, but not extreme). They give basically there whole lives for it.
When telling lies, witholding the truth I think they do this to make the weak ones not to stuble...About the UN scandal what I do not understand: WHY they did it.

For what are you df-ed?
by DannyBloem infor saying that you do not belive in any god?.
for saying to the elders you have doubs about the existence of god?.
where would they tollerate and what not?.

DannyBloem
Thanks for all the answers,
I think I have not yet been spotted. For some reason I can do almost everything without they ever question anything. And from all the other sins they do not know anything.
So I guess I'm on the safe side. I decided that it is better to fade away. But in the progress, try to give the people that will listen enough doubds and information. This is a bit of a contradiction but I have to try.

Sorry, I was not asking a confession of everybodies sins here
I did 'accidently' told some people that I did question the excistance of a God (to put it mildly). The elders will probably hear this someway...
How would they react? Is this a ground for DF?there are no other sins (that is that the elders would possible now of)

Oh God Why? Tell Me Why??
by LouBelle innow that i'm totally free of the wt & it's indoctrination, standing alone not sure of my purpose in life, not sure where to turn to.
i still believe in god but find myself on the verge/or perhaps already questioning him.
this is quite a sensitve topic & not sure it suitable, but i just need it out there.

Hi,
The 'solution' of why evil is permitted given by the WTS is not valid, that is clear. When we rally read in the bible about Gods personalities, we see a real difference between the NT and OT. In the OT he is the one who kills people and their whole families for something that one person does. (children are often punished by their parents or grand-grand parents desisions).
Why is it like that. THat is very simple, God is a invention of people and they project their own way of thinking on the way the Gods suppose to think. The greeks did the same and had all kind of immoral Gods, very silly.
Then why the jews had the single God? This is easy explainable for nomadic people, who were sometimes sheepshepards It is easy to see that they project their sheep to the people, and the sheperd to God. Even in the bible this is gven as illustration. You can ask yourself the questions: if there is really a god, is he even worth worshipping, if he is so able to do things that people with a good concience would never do?
Maybe there is a god, but he just don't cares about us. But then what is the use of praying worshipping and religion.
for me it is obvious that there is not a god as the judea-christian beliefs offer. If there is something 'godlike' etc, is another question and open for me, although atheism is more likely i think.

Hi Belle,
Most of the reasoning here is just from myself. That is that I have read most of it in the years and kept in in mind. I did study science, so maybe that is why.
Actually the impossibilities of the flood of Noah is one of the reasons for me for leaving the organisation.
A good book is: From Ian Plimer - 'Telling Lies For God' (Random House: Sydney,1994)
and a lot of infor (both sides, objective) is given in WIkiPedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noah%27s_Ark
