For the converts: Do you ever feel your life has come full circle?

just a thought for those of you who converted to jwdom.. now that you're out, or in the process of leaving, do you feel that your life has come more or less full circle?.

do you feel that you're back where you started?.

I definitely feel that I have come full circle.

I started out searching for a "GOD", that I had no knowledge of,
spent 13 years thinking I had found him.

Now here I am 11 years later... back to square one, still searching.

What a mess here in Florida!

where i live we have received 10 inches of rain within the last 24 hours..... another 12 to 17 hours of the same are expected!, some areas have gotten close to 30 inches.

its crazy...my pool is over flowing, pets won't go out....we're drowning!

i can't believe we haven't lost power yet!.

dear friends,.

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

What Stupid Rules Did Your Congregation Have?

we had a few.. no gum in your mouth ever!

the elders found some gum on the carpet so gum chewing was banned.. disfellowshipped ones should sit quietly in the rear of the hall.. you had to get at least the congregation's average in order to share in the privilege of mowing the lawn!.

What is your comfort food?

dear fellow gourmands,.

i have completed the polishing off of a sizeable portion of fettuccine, smothered with an ordinary tomato sauce including ground beef, lottsa herbs, extra virgin olive oil and topped with grated romano and chopped italian parsely.. therefore, i am in a state complete and utter satisfaction.

what foods - dishes - feed your soul as well as your belly?.

A country style Mac and cheese... super rich and creamy.

There was a lady at my old hall that always brought it to the get togethers..
it was "Pure Heaven"........uuuummmmm.
