I just showed this to my JW employee and he said "send that to me on a link. I need to check that out." Maybe the Witnesses are borrowing from the Chilcren of God and are going to institute their pwn version of "flirty fishing." What percentage of sisters would qualify for this service?

How do you go from hatred of the WBTS to indifference to it.
by easyreader1970 inright now i am filled with burning hatred towards the wbts.
not just to what it has done to me and my family but to people all over the world.
i want to see nothing but the governing body exposed as the charlatans that they are and for all to see the great evil that is the wbts.

Easyrider,
The main thing that will help in this regard is patience and TIME! It was some seven years before I was finally getting on with my "worldy" life. I had to deal with an unbalanced ex-wife who tried to pit the kids against me by telling them i was going to be destroyed by Jehovah at Armageddon. I know at the beginning you feel anger and immense frustration for falling for this load of dung, but believe me when I tell you the passage of time is a great healer and restorer. Eventually much of the anger will turn to pity for those still caught in the trap.

How Long Have you Been Out of the Witnesses ? Have you Moved On ?
by flipper ini have been out over 5 years now.
i feel we all start healing at different speeds depending on how much hurt we went through in exiting ; and how much we've educated ourselves about how and why we were sucked in by a mind control cult.
at first i felt anger towards the organization , but after learning about mind control within 3 years of leaving the cult i felt sorry for those who are still trapped inside the witnesses being deceived.

I left in 1992 and it took me a good 5 to 7 years to get over the frustration and anger that I felt for believing such a story! Besides the doctrines, I had to deal with my ex-wife telling my then 5, 8 and 12 year old kids that "daddy would be destroyed" when Armageddon arrives. While my 12 year old son did not seem to be affected by it much, my 5 and 8 year old daughters were truamatized for a spell. The only thing that really helped me was the support from my non-JW parents and time.

NWT & KIT Prove Jesus IS Jehovah!
by PanzerZauberei ini have not seen this discussed here before so i thought i would share it with the group.
romans 10:9 proves that jesus is jehovah.in the jw's kingdom interlinear translation of the greek scriptures they went to great effort to show that the tetragrammaton was supposed to be in the greek texts.
so, every time the name jehovah appears they show a footnote directing the reader to see how ky'ri*os applies always to jehovah in one or more of their j documents.

All of this confusion just convinces me more of the man made origin of the Bible. The writers had no idea that their writings would be examined in such detail. They just expected the readers to accept what the writer was stating and move on.
One of my favorite unexplained verses is Judges 1:19. Even though Jehovah was backing Judas in his attempt to drive out the inhabitants of the land he was trying to acquire, he could not because they had chariots of iron. Chariots of iron are stronger than Jehovahs support!

BTo, Queen, Styx, Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Starz, The Eagles, ZZ Top, Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Rush, Triumph, April Wine, Balck Sabbeth, Led Zeppelin, Stev Miller, Jim Croce, Henry Gross, Earth Wind & Fire, Angel, Lynyrd Synyrd, The Outlaws, Blondie, The Cars, Cheap Trick, Dr. Feelgood, ELO, Tom Petty, Jimmy Buffet, Santana, Fleetwood Mac.
In 1977, just after I turned 18, I got backstage tickets to Fleetwood Mac through the company I was working for and I was so excited when I was led to the back area where I would be sitting. The sound sucked because you were behind the stage and only hearing it in an unbalanced manner. But what shocked me was when Stevie Nicks was on stage singing "Dreams", I noticed a guy pouring something on a table and dividing it into lines. I was only 18 and had no idea what he was doing, but just after the song "Dreams" was over, Stevie came back and reached under her huge mane of hair and pulled out a straw and went to the table and snorted one of the lines. I then looked a man near me and asked "Is that cocaine?"
The guy replied in the affirmative and asked me if I would like some and I politely said "No sir."

Changes to the Kingdom Interlinear
by PanzerZauberei inin the 1969 kit the society used a book by bible scholar justus lipsius as source material for their upright stake "stauros" doctrine of the death of christ.
they used an image of a man hung on an upright stake with no crossbeam attached to it.
then they placed a caption under it saying that the illustration came from lipsius.

This was an issue I brought up in my judicial hearing where they tried to talk me out of dissassociation. I had mentioned that one thing that irritated me to no end was that so many of the brothers and sisters confused Jehovah and the Society. One of the elders, Jared Hardie, commented that only a new one or one weak in the faith would make such a mistake.
I then went on to discuss the change in the view the Society had on homosexual behavior. I mentioned how many sisters who were married to gay men before 1972 could not divorce and remarry without being disfellowshipped and unfortunatley many of them were kicked out for doing just that.
Then in 1972 "brighter light" fell upon the governing body and the rule was changed so these sisters could divorce their gay husbands and remarry without any issue. I then asked "Why didn't the Society just say they had made a mistake and apologize to those sisters who had been disfellowshipped earlier and welcome them back into the fold?"
Then elder #2, Stuart Vislosky, replied "So you think Jehovah should apologize to these women?"
I then looked at Jared Hardie and elder #3, Roy McWhorter, and said pointing at Stuart "He just made my point! I asked why the Society didn't apologize to the sisters and he translated that into why should Jehovah apologize? In his mind, the Society and Jehovah are the same!"
Jared then said the meeting was concluded and we went our separate ways.

I believe the men who wrote these myths and stories never dreamed that mankind who advance to the state where they could be challenged. Just as Joseph Smith never envisioned a time where Egyptian hieroglyphics (a.k.a. reformed Egyptian) would be understood which showed the fallacy of his translation of the Book of Abraham and other Mormon writings. It will be harder and harder as time goes forth, for new religions to become major forces if they base their teachings on supposed supernatural events and unprovable assertions.
