I don't think comparing some paranoid woman at work with child rape/molestation is a good example. In the case of child rape there often is scientific proof (hair samples, dna, semen, etc..) that the elders are more than willing to have it washed down the bathtub drain in order to protect their precious organization.

by Rattigan350 inone thing that i agree with is the two or more witness principle.. i have an experience to tell why.. at work for lunch i go to my car and eat and read emails on my laptop (since i can't bring my laptop in).
one day a hr director and my director told me about an occasion where i was in my car and a woman went out to her car that was next to me and left for lunch.
she came back and pulled in a spot and saw that i was in my car to the left of her and what came to her mind was that i must have just pulled in after her and she felt uncomfortable with that and thinking that i was following her and she went to security.

They can say he wasn't really a jw because he wasn't baptized (though he could have been since his statement at some point) and it will be enough for jw's, however, for the rest of the world it doesn't matter because if you go to the kh every week or even identify as being a jw baptism or not the world will identify you as a jw. It is only with jw's that the actual baptism matters so much.

Why don't Jehovah's Witnesses introduce themselves when knocking on doors?
by Randomthoughts inmost random people who knock on the door politely introduce themselves when you open the door.. for example "hello, i'm derick from unicef and i'm looking for donations blah blah blah".
now annoying as it may be for some at least he had the courtesy to introduce himself.. why don't jw's do this?
is it because they are embarressed or perhaps they know you won't take their literature if they do?.

Not only should they introduce themselves (a common courtesy) but they ought to give you THEIR home address and complete picture ID! that way I can send annoying sales people to their homes or perhaps decide I want to give them a lecture on some topic I believe in when it suits me to interrupt their day.

I used to have almost the exact same conversation with my jw! finally I quit hitting my head against the wall of jwism and feel much better. They are not interested in the Gospel of Christ or Christ in general. They simply use "Jesus" as a magic mantra at the end of a prayer as far as I can tell.
