Reniaa/Debator, much wordiness there that doesn't say a whole lot but long and short...no we should try and understand prophecy. However, we should not falsely prophecy as the WT has.

*Grace* According to JW's. Your thoughts will be appreciated.
by Lily Pie inhi, i'm a bit of a lurker on this site occasionally, just to help me understand my jw relative.
i am so curious to ask this question, but i fear asking a practicing jw, because you know, they can be a tad evasive, and maybe defensive too.

DD, regardless of what definition she wants to put on works, Ephesians and Romans make clear that the two are mutally exclusive...grace, or undeserved kindness, is no longer that if works are required to receive it. In any case, the 'workss' done by the criminal did not earn him a place in paradise (be it in heaven or earth- location not being the issue in this conversation right now).
But, lets see where she takes this too.

DD, the Wt recently wrote that even those who 'give a cold cup of water to one of these little ones..." quoting from Matthew, would not be doing enough to be saved. The WT is speaking as 'one of these little one's' is a JW, while the one giving a cold cup of water is one supporting them but not becoming a JW. Even if this were a proper application to the JWs, the WT ignores the rest of Jesus words that the one giving a cold cup of water would by no means lose their reward.

Reniaa/Debator, why don't you want to answer DD's question? Does it back you into a corner as far as defending JW doctrine?

Reniaa aka Debator said: I think it is sad if People see Grace/undeserved kindness as a license to to sin or not to obey God.
My reply: That's how JWs see it...Christians do not see it that way.

"We're not here to debate or argue"
by sabastious inas a jw i was always taught "never to get into debate or argue with householders.".
you know what is interesting about that?.
the message i had when i went to your door was essentially "hello, what ever your current belief is... is wrong.

Debator the resurrected Reniaa said:
Jesus said it himself about those not interested "shake the dust off your feet off them". Jesus felt no need to get into debates or arguments with pharasees he simply gave them his position and they accepted it or rejected it. We follow his example in this.
My reply: Jesus was speaking about his message, not the WT false prophecies. That issue aside for a minute, why do you not follow Jesus advice? Oh, because you're not Christian!

it is totally laughable watching the certain apologist for the WT here trying to defend Wt theology...which is totally indefensible and leaves her looking clueless and downright stupid. Evolution is not contradictory to creation nor should that even be entering this conversation.
Keep on going Renibator, you are doing absolutely wonderful!

Livingbreeze:
"God's spirit-directed organization", not just an organization, an organized group of people, but "God's spirit-directed" organization. How is this an omission of God's spirit, the Holy Spirit?
My reply: The leadership of JW's is God's holy Spirit?
