  why are the seventh day adventists growing faster than jw but we still boast 16 billion (something like that) hours in field ministry as being so important and proof that our work brings so many into the truth?.

  The majority wouldn't believe you when you say "Jesus has already come... invisibly."

  I so don't get that teaching lol!

  Where in the bible does it support that! Jesus said in Mathew 24 to be careful of false prophets, for there will be people saying "Oh look there is the Christ!" Jesus told us not to believe them! we must keep our faith, he mentioned that people will come and try and make others believe in lies. lol I think he warns us about the Watchtower

  'cause i'm new, lame, and haven't the foggiest.... granted, i could just google it, but uhh... x) oh well.. and are they really stalking us?

  -wince- 'cause.. that might mean trouble for apathy who'll call herself alexandra for now, to help throw them off my tracks.. yeah... they'll never figure it out now.. unless they trace my ip.

  Honestly if the Watchtower is looking at this site, then they should make an account and talk to us!! or are they too chicken????

  God's true organisation should be able to speak up! The Holy Spirit works through god's people, Watchtower if ye holds the truth then don't be afraid, come here and talk, the Holy Spirit will help you.

  I LOST IT ... my JW rant today

  well, i just couldn't hold it in anymore.. today, i exploded, talking to my mother about the family inheritance and how i am being screwed.. i told her i had been so angry lately, and just had to tell her what i was thinking, because the anger was slipping out at times, and i was making snide anti-jw comments .... which is not my way.

  i'm usually quite direct.. i told her that i couldn't take being treated like a piece of dog you-know-what on the bottom of someone's shoe any longer.. that in the past couple of years, i had learned so much filth about the jws that i was getting more and more disgusted day by day.. i started shouting ... there is nothing wrong with me!!!

  why do i have to be shunned when they hide child molesters???.

  Talesin, its a good thing that you let some anger out. its no good keeping it all in, I know with all my anger bottled up, its hard to continue living life and forget the past or accept it if your carrying all that anger and burdens, so don't feel bad, if you have another chance to talk to your mum, tell ehr that you really love her, honesty is the best solution, no more lies no more cover ups!

  Even pray, whether you believe in God or not, just pray anyway, even if you feel like you are talking to the wall or sky, even if you don't believe in a god, it helps to talk it all out, imagine yourself standing in front of God/Jehovah. I know talking helped me.

  i heard that there was a memo that brothers on the platform at the assemblies/conventions should no longer wear "just out of bed" hair styles.. i kinda think jason bateman looks cool on arrested development!.

  lol! a lot of boys at my school have that "just got out of bed" hair style, in fact some of them hasn't brushed their hair for months lol!

  One in particular has the most messed up hair!

  Way to crazy for a religion to tell people how to have their hair, its really a personal choice, its annoyiong enough having my school telling me to tie my hair back! and men are not to have any facial hairs at all! *contol freaks honestly! also STUPID NITS!!!! thats the schools exuse for having our hair tied up, fair enough but still! I wonder if their will be nits on a paradise earth lol*

  yes there is child abuse with the JW's. So is there with the catholics by the way.....

  I don't think the Catholic church approves of it at all though nor does it support it.

  Discipline and Child abuse seems much more common in the jw religion, I have never seen any of it at the Catholic church in my area, nor have I've heard any stories of it happening, the strange thing is though if the Catholic church was to slip up once or if one out of a million catholic priests is a petifile it gets all over the news and puts the Church in bad light, but the Jehovah's Witnesses seems to get under the radar and gets away with much more then the Catholic church ever will.

  But if I ever do see child abuse in the Catholic Church, i'd most likely do something about it, same goes if I ever visit a Kingdom hall.

  There is not much you could do about it, but would be fun, if you would step on the stage and started with your talk. Invide me then, that is someting I want to see

  LMAO!!! If i ever do become a Jehovah's Witness (apart from the fact that i'd most likely get Disfellowshipped in the first 5 minutes) I would be darn persistant on giving a speech, i'd annoy the elder until he either Disfellowships me or lets me give a speech! lol

  One more reason not to become a JW. As woman do not have much right on public speaking in the KH

  I HEARD ABOUT THAT!!!

  I figured that no one can put you in that position unless they let you, so as a girl i would walk in and will not let anyone push me around, I am a strong defender of womens rights! IF they don't like it then that is just too bad!

  Sigh I love giving speeches, I can stand up there and talk for ever! lol I am generally a quiet person but that is a completly different story when it comes to public speaking and debating

  Well if its true that the Jehovah's Witnesses abuse childrens and womens rights then there is no way i will join, not an Armageddon or Paradise earth will work on me!

  I am happy with my faith so I ain't gonna convert!

  What musical instrument do you play?

  i spent many many years peforming on the cello before becoming a witness at 18 and being encouraged to quit all my symphony associations etc which i obediently did.

  i was a soloist once with a community symphony and it was a wonderful experience!

  i have a recording of the concerto i performed.

  are cut off from your family or friends because they are considered a danger to your cult-like beliefs.

  are taught everything through repetition,repetition,repetition.. are taught to fear for your life (everlasting) if you leave it.. question its teachings you are doomed.. everything outside of its organization is a tool of satan.

  Myself, I understand where you are getting at, right now I am reading a book on cults its really good, and trust me there are other cults out there other than the jw one that teachers things like that! there are cults that breaks up families and says that you will be doomed if you leave. It it would help maybe read up on other well known cults and you will see similarities.

  Later on when i;m not so busy i might post the 8 characteristics of a cult, I found them quite interesting.
