get out of the dark age. its all mind games. spooky environments can make the head think different. and thats why i hate the dark. i can't see anything, and the unknown is scary. last night my cell phone's light came on for no reason.

Demonic exorcism by a JW elder
by out of the box inwe moved into an apartment on the 2nd floor.
we were jws at the time, and the family on the first floor under us was studying.. the girl downstairs started hearing noises during the night and finally hearing steps up to the side of her bed.
she was so scared she hadn't slept in a while and was so tired.

Christianity on the threat of DEATH..
by GetBusyLiving inif someone held a gun to your head and threatened to blow your brains out unless you worshiped jesus and went to church, which christian church would you choose?
no pansy churches like the unitarians though.
it has to be a fundamentalist denomination.

Becoming a woman...
by Rubyvixen ini remember when i was around the age of 10 or 11, there was a book that jehovah's witness parents used in family bible study that had two versions (one for male, one for females) or maybe there was one and it just had chapters and i am remembering wrong.
i do remember vividly having to endure the rather male dominated view of what happens when a young woman enters adolescence and what a young woman has to look forward to in her 'duties' as a loyal wife and mother serving her husband *gags*.
does anyone remember that?

ok, my first bible study was with this dude from my school and his little bro. i studied the youth book with them and covered like half of it. i was proud then, but man i feel so stupid now. i saw the dude at a rock show recently. thank god he didnt recognize me. i looked like a normy. skinny and shaggy hair. lol. i did not approach him. new life. sunday. joy. atlast.

Need help from someone who still goes to the KH
by Unclepenn1 inhello, i havent posted in a while, but have been a member here for a long time, and even back when h20 was going on as well.
i am in the process of writing a book about the watchtower, but need some help from someone who is still in the org, and still goes to the kingdom hall.
i need some materials for research, and was hoping that someone could help me.

im so happy and excited! yet a little scared. im starting off new, so no one knows of my embarrassing past. i won't be working, i need to work hard for that 4.0 gpr. although my schedule is pretty awesome.
heres what monday the 29th will be like once classes start: 7am- breakfast .... 8am- jog..... 12n- lunch ..... 1:50pm-2:40pm- MATH 141.... 3pm- study time- math ..... 4:10pm-5:25pm- GEOL 101 .... 5:30pm- study time- geol/math/dinner .... 7pm- 1st time of the month book study puke puke puke !!!!!!!!!! 8ish pm- workout ..... 11pm- bed time...
that day i'll be sure to make myself known to the professors!
and this repeats every weekday except with friday i only have ONE class! but then the parents want me to come home saturday and go to the meetings sunday, but they will give me money for food and gas. but i joined this club thats into learning about cultures and success, sounds cool. i might also join a frat and do some intramural sports like cross country.
oh yeah, what scares me the most is, one elder wanted to get my cell, to check up on how i'm doing. and my mom mentioned that i should join the theocratic school at the congregation i'll be attending. and it sounds like i'll still be attending sunday meetings back home.
advice?

* Please Read Oct 1st WT A WHOLE article about the dangers or university *
by truthseeker inthis topic has been touched on before by another poster, however here are the main paragraphs of the second study article, taken from the october 1st 2005 watchtower.
before i begin, remember this quote taken from an article published in the 1969 awake!
if you are a young person, you will have to face the fact you will never grow old in this system of things
