With all due respect, Im not trying to be judgemental towards you in any way but you have been on this board for a while full of "apostates" and people who are disfellowshipped and you knowingly associate with them and this is a form of socializing and you support and endorse the organization that actually has disfellowshipped ones for doing the exact same thing that you are doing. Ray Franz was axed for doing for having lunch with a DF'd person. How can you justify the double standards and the hyposcracy? There is no fence post for you to balance on; according to them you are on one side or the other. I just want to know how your rationalize it.

Of course he wont because it doesn't exist outside of WTS- they talk around, sidestep, give vague references (if any at all) or just bits of references out of context and employ intellectual and scholastic dishonesty to push their views.

what would you have done back in the 1st century when jesus came on the earthly stage and started christianity.

would you have became his follower?

how about after he left the earth and christianity began to spread by means of the apostles, would you have been involved in the many congregations that were started throughout the area?

I probably would have followed Jesus and asked him questions on doctorines and teachings that could be miscontruded by reading the scriptures or looking at them differently; however the apostles that were blessed with holy spirit and they did not impose and force people to believe and teach certain doctorines that later turned out to be nothing more than a few men's speculations and label other people who dont believe in those speculations apostates and by their definition of apostate they accuse those same people as leaving God since they didn't buy their teachings. By them saying interepretations belong to God and and force people to accept them as coming from God and then changing (NOT FINE TUNING) some of the same teachings they are just like the false prophets God speaks of.

Do you hide you JW family's practice of shunning from non-JW family?

i thought of this question as i've been talking to different family members about the situation with my parents and grandmother.

i wondered if they'd get upset by me telling other non-jw family members what was going on.

i recently told a family member in coventry who i'm sure will end up telling my grandmother's sisters.

I would think that most non-JW relatives would already know the practice of shunning. It is not something that is really hidden since the practice of disfellowshipping is mentioned in both the Watchtower and Awake which is distributed to everybody.

Did God ever grant what you asked for in prayer?

i was an active witness, and i didn't feel as if god granted anything i asked for in prayers.

i didn't ask anything out of the ordinary.

since the witnesses say that they are god's followers and that he blesses them, i wonder in what way he blesses individuals when they pray?.

Absolutely he has granted what I have asked for in prayer at times when I was an active witness and also when I wasn't an active witness and I am convinced that he had a part of working things out in my life the way things have fell into place; which has actually shocked me since I dont like a godly holy life but try to do the best I can by loving my neighbor and being a good person.

Watchtower Gives Up Explaining 607 BCE Date!

this is a very important observation, that the watchtower has not tried to explain in print why 607 bce is the year for the destruction of jerusalem for the last 17 years!!!.

all that the watchtower has done over most of the last two decades is to repeat over and over the year "607bce" in its publications as if it is an unquestioned fact!.

the last time an explaination for the year was attempted by the watchtower was in 1988 when the "insight" volumes were published, but since then, no explaination for the validity of the year has appeared in print.. this must mean something, but what?

Can you give any examples of secular evidence and list them so I can look them up? I have not been able to find any shred of other so called evidence you speak of concerning the 607 date as the fall of Jerusalem. As far as I know that is the WTS date.
