  Conjuring Uo Our Own Gods

  i had never heard of a tulpa before.

  Reminds me a bit of my interest in shamanism and guided meditation not long after I left the dub world. The idea of meditating on the "spirit world" and searching out my power animal was very much like creating a world and things in it out of my own imagination. I was told that in time I would find such spirits would talk to me and guide me. That it was a personal journey and not objective or verifiable was the main reason I lost interest; creating a fantasy complete with spirits I make up wasn't very satisfying, though some seem to put great faith in it. Ultimately, I reasoned it was me anyways and I didn't need the fantasy to trust in or believe in myself

  I can see how our ancestors believed in it and how such things "evolved" into pantheism and eventually monotheism, something everyone could identify with without much meditative effort.

  Modern day charismatics who promote direct revelation aren't much different than yer average shaman of old IMO

  i'd just like the opions of some of the more clear thinking member on this please:.

  let me just start this by saying i don't really buy into conspiracy theories, but sometimes they seem to make sense, i suppose that's the point of them.

  all this business with edward snowden seems to add a little more weight to certain conspiracy theories.

  America was the land of the free back in the 50's, for a lot of people.

  Not so much anymore today.

  There was less regulation back in the 50's and 60's and that made most people more free. Even the Blacks and the Indians.

  Need Real Friends

  i have been to various mental health message board for years.

  however, i cannot find any real friends there.. since my disassociation from the jw, i have no group which i belong to.

  i have tried even multilevel marketing scheme in order to make new friends but unsuccessful.. .

  Friends are quite common, but you have to be a friend to have them, as they say.

  Real friends? Few and far between. Begs the question though, what do you consider real?

  Anywho, don't get too hung up on the details/conditions, just loosen up a bit and enjoy the ride.

  Christians and conspiracy theories?

  i often have a pop at certain kinds of atheists but for a change i thought id have a pop at certain kinds of fellow christians.

  on the last christen web site i was thrown out of there was much love for the conspiratorial view of the world.

  they were mostly x witnesses who were very much still in its mind set.

  I like the moon landing conspiracy theory myself.

  Of course thousands of people were employed in one of the largest endeavor in human history with millions watching on TV while it was all just shot on a studio backlot somewhere and everyone kept their mouth shut or never clued into the sham.

  jehovah's witness.

  no one must ever compromise any of the essential, life-saving truths from god, but to truly be part of the "one body" required of christians, everyone must compromise some personal beliefs, preferences, interpretations, etc.. the jewish christians in rome were commanded to give up the mosaic law.

  this was a task that was most difficult for them.

  Which country is better to migrate Canada or Australia?

  i am sure nowhere is perfect but if we want to compare these two countries from different prospectives like racism, job, income/spending, quality of life, standard of living etc.

  can you please give me a rough idea by sharing your experiences.. .

  by the way, i am considering applying for a masters progrmme in any of the two countries.. .
