  How long do the elders expect a DF'd person to wait before coming back?

  when i attended meetings years ago, if a brother or sister got df'd they weren't supposed to come back to their meetings right away even if they wanted to repent..... if i remeber well, you had to stay away from the meetings for a few months and them come back if you wished, as if to show that you made changes in your lifestyle and then decided to come back.. if you were disfellowshipped and went back to the meetings right after, it was a sign that you didn't understand what happened to you and you weren't trying to fix what you did wrong.. .

  maybe it was different in other congregations..

  Its exactly the opposite here. They expect you at every meeting right away. If you dont, it will just take that much longer to get reinstated!

  Strange visit

  after 4 years away from meetings and no contact with the cong i attended, yesterday i answered the door to find an elder at the door.

  he was po in my cong but has been removed i had heard.

  he said he was calling about the disaster fund and that the society wanted to update everyones details like phone numbers and contacts.

  They should also take a course in being able to handle crows plucking eyes.

  LMFAO...........has anyone noticed how big those suckers are getting? At least here in wisconsin they are. They look like they could swallow you whole!

  My crazy diner with a CO!!!

  last friday i was hagning out with my buddy whose family has faded from the wts, anyways his uncle is a co or so i thought, when we started talking he mentioned that he stoping being a co and now only goes to meetings once in a while with his wife.

  when i asked his why he stopped being a co he mentioned three things.

  1. committese meeting should not be done.

  One of my daughters had an allergic reaction to food at a gathering

  my daughter is allergic to peanuts.

  she will have an anaphylactic reaction just from a small amount.

  someone made a barbecue sauce with peanut butter.

  My mom is deathly allergic to bee stings, so she has an epipen also.

  OUTLAWS Nature Channel

  as most of you know i live in the wilderness..my ranch house has a nice big front window.so it`s like a giant tv screen tuned to the nature channel.....right now i have a beautiful deer in front of it.shes a gold colour with bits of yellow in her coat,and a white tail and bum.she`s grazing peacefully,flicking her tail now and again.chewing on fiberous desert plants that will soon be burned off by the desert sun next month..when that happens she will eat hay left out for the cattle..or..graze on plants that have been shaded by the abundant pine trees here.....behind her some 50ft away,are a family of groundhogs.all standing like little soldiers,by the caves and tunnels they have dug for thier home..i left peanuts in the shell,out for them.they didn`t know what to do with them..lol!

  !..so i opened a few and left a few in the shell..it took me a few days..but..i taught the groundhogs how to get the peanut out of the shell..lol!

  !.....there`s a hawk that lives here.he`s in charge of groundhog population control,now that "squirrell eat`n dawg" is gone.....oop`s!..

  One of they guys that is baiting the bear, said that one of the three is over 500 lbs this year. We always like to go for walks on their property, cuz they have a nice pond there. Now Im really affraid to walk back there! I know, what a chicken........but they scare me.

  Isnt it nice? I know when we go to the cabin, I always see deer, turkeys, porkies, and one bear which I dont care to see anytime soon unless im in a car!

  (Im sure i will, the people next door are baiting them, and now there are three hangin about)

  Very scarry encounter

  i just had an encounter with a man at the bank and i'm still shaking:.

  i pull up to the bank to use the atm ( atm in small lobby), i park next to a large truck and next to the truck was another car.

  there was 1 man using the atm, and no one in line or outside.

  ex-nj-jw.............just admit it..you had no reason to be scared of a 300 lb teddybear, whispering sweet nothings to you!

  I would have dont the same as you. And If they are waiting for the teller, they SHOULD be in line. You dont know if they are waiting for someone else, or what the heck they are doing in their car.

  The same thing happened to me........i got out, stood in line, and a guy that was in his car got out (didnt say anything) and stood right next to me, and jumped in front of me when the guy was done with the teller. Some people are just rude.......

  Can you choose which elders you wish to deal with ?

  lets say that there are 4 elders in your congregation, and you don't like 1 of them, don't trust another one, but like the 2 other ones for some reason.

  now lets say that the elders you don't like that much come over and want to speak to you, would they respect you if you said, "i prefer to talk to the 2 other elders instead".

  i get along with them better than you guys.. i compare this to a store.
