Night Guards at Twickenham
by Duncan ina very enjoyable part of my job these last few years has been entertaining clients with corporate hospitality at the rugby union international matches at twickenham.
i work for a software company, as finance director, and these events such as the six nations, or the annual barbarians tour - provide companies such as mine a valuable opportunity to spend time with customers and prospects and try to interest them in our products, or at least get them to be favourably disposed to the company.
sponsorship of rugby matches like this is actually quite a smart move marketing-wise.

The End of Circuit Overseers
by scotsman inis indeed apparently nigh as another poster predicted along with the end of the weekly bs.
not sure when this should take place but i'm reliably informed by a family member that one of the uk's overseers was talking about it fairly recently.
reduced to weekend visits by an outside but local elder instead.. i have no further info..

The WTS has also had a hard time recruiting new COs and DOs to replace the aging population.
ha..and there was me desperate to be a c.o. and continually being passed over for lesser qualified, boring, ugly, ill, merciless bros some of whom couldn't even drive.
most of them had problems wives.
and some of them were quite haughty too...
the irony just knocks me out
(i was also going to make the point that molybdenum made but molybdenum already made it so i wont)

haha besty i just saw your avatar on another thread and thought i would ask you if you would be watching..
then i saw this thread..
i am at all rangers home games and some away...recent games have been dire...but on saturday there were signs of improvement and that bodes well...like you i believe they will win 2-1 in real time.
i will be at ibrox where the game is also being shown on the big screens... pretty much a full house is expected cos it is free..although i dont think there are any rangers fans left in scotland..maybe celtic fans will take advantage of the freeness and come and cheer zenit st p lol.
whatever it will be great.

Automatic reinstatement if teaching gets reversed?
by Fatfreek inlet's say your spouse admitted to having sex with animals, you went to the elders and they told you that you were not free to remarry -- but you went ahead, divorced the scumbag, and remarried someone else.
you, of course, got disfellowshipped.
since then, the society reverses its position.

at the last elders school they were told to df for viewing porn.
6 months later they ammended this position by letter and said it would not be an automatic df-ing offence.
the letter said that the decision was not retroactive and anyone who was df-ed was to remain so

i said at dinner this evening to my family that it was strange that petrol (gas) prices have always been higher in europe than u.s. (we currently paying around $10 dollars a gallon) but as soon as petrol (gas) prices hit £3.50 in u.s jah decides that it is time to drop a meeting. my ma said well we dont know what is going to happen to oil in the future.(as if the gb do)
i said yeah but in africa they are still expected to traverse crocodile infested rivers to get to the meetings.
and she said yeah well at least they dont have to do it so often now.
you have to laugh really dontcha.. i mean you just gotta.

i am a huge fan of aldo nova and doucette being a couple.
there are many other bigger bands or individuals i could list but don't want to ruin the fun.

If it happens it shows that the Wt has no idea about motivation and psychology
well that was evident when they stopped food at conventions etc..in the name of simplication...twas only simple for the brass...made it more complicated for the r & f.
and wasn't the group meant to be preperation for persecution...have they arranged for persecution to be abandoned too
WOW you are so lucky.... I just paid $1.20 per LITRE !! $4.80/GALLON in Canada
WOW you are so lucky..i just paid £1.10 per litre....mind you we do have more litres in our gallon in the uk...but then we have to pay more per gallon...!! £1.10 x 4.54 = £4.99 per gallon...thats $10.00 at todays exchange rate
you north americans have it all
