Recent Global Cooling Controversy
by metatron inhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2415191/global-cooling-arctic-ice-caps-grows-60-global-warming-predictions.html.
climate change is a legitimate concern - especially as it affects poor nations.
however, the subject has been twisted by greedy global elites resulting in disappointments (if you wish to call them that!

Lets recap.
97% of climate scientists are sure with a high degree of confidence that recent climate change is directly caused and can only be explained by human activity. Nobody is claiming that climate didn't change before for natural reasons.
Any 'controversy' exists within the details of climate processes eg what is the precise role of El Nino, what is the precise role of cloud cover, what is the precise role of deep ocean warming and ocean acidification.
The Daily Mail has an agenda. We all know that. Right? This article is a classic example of cherry picking. Lets take 1 data point - in this case Artic ice cover (ignoring ice depth and ice age) - and lets take 1 year of data - 2012. Lets use 1 scientist - Judith Curry - whose views have been widely discredited to the point of embarassment by other climate scientists - and lets make a headline called GLOBAL COOLING CONTROVERSY. Pathetic.
If you want to side with the 3% of climate scientists who do not accept the mainstream viewpoint, then first you should explain why you are better qualified than the 97% to take such a position.
Or just be open about your anti-science ideology like the Daily Mail is - then at least the rest of know where we stand. Don't insult us by dressing it up as science -please.

Circuit Accounts Servants Confesses how the SCAM WORKS!!
by JT inyes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.
i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

" due to the donatations coming in before this Assembly we have a surplus of £26k"
AND
" So for this 2 day Assembly so far"
are two separate statements and are not connected.
They have commited to giving away £13k so "this assembly weekend" immediatelys starts in the red by 13k. Add in assembly costs, CO costs etc and then take away donations "this weekend" and voila - £5k deficit for the brothers to shell out for.
All the old sisters can hear is a respectable man in a suit asking for a deficit to be taken care off.

I think it is pretty difficult for a charity to hide assets with a straight face.
The fallout from being accused or found guilty of that could be a death blow.

In summary, they are flipping redeveloped properties paid for by free labour and tax-free donations.
I believe Hayes Bridge in the UK has been lavishly renovated recently and started hosting small Conventions.

No matter how they try to spin this problem or what angle of approach they take, they can't make themselves not look bad.
I suspect they'd rather not shell out the damages and spin the 'victory', whatsover they have to say in the process - the alternative is to shell the damages and spin the loss.
What would you prefer if you were the Watchtower?

Mass Disfellowshippings of Inactive Ones

the scriptures they are using to support this:.
the very ones keeping away from you will perish.

inactive, faders, conscious class - they are all doing a great job. thank you!
It must really infuriate the WTS that the Internet makes it so easy for people to find out how to leave without being DF'd.
I wouldn't be surpised if the WTS takes a much more whiny tone about these ones - if skipping ministry and meetings becomes a DF offense I would be delighted.
