  Do you hide apostate literature on your computer?

  i was wondering how many here take special precautions, like deleting internet files and clearing your internet history, so that no one else may use your computer and find out that you're visiting apostate forums and reading apostate literature.. maybe some won't even put a jwd icon on their desktop, just incase a jw family member could see it.. .

  Current/former elders -- Ever on Judicial Committee while on your way out?

  do any of you that are currently serving as elders ever serve on jc's?

  is it something you can opt out of and still be an elder?.

  Just curious, what do you all think about a comittee of elders who are all realated? 2 brothers and a father in law? And, One of them had an affair years ago with my mother and was disfellowshipped for it. Should they have been the ones to handle my case?

  Got My Memorial Invitation Today

  i was shopping with my wife and when we got home there was a handbill in the door that invited us to the memorial, 3/24 at 7:00 pm.

  i noticed the handbill was printed in canada.

  I was talking to my mom yesterday about going to the memorial. I said the family would be asking both of us soon. Asked her if she was going to go, she said NO WAY! She usually goes, but after all that has happened to me lately, she wants nothing to do with it.

  Gosh, I dont know if I want to admit this or Not! You know the vibrating back massagers? Well, I have better use for them than on my back! One day I was doing the nasty, alone, and the dang thing starts making all this weird noise like it was going to take off in flight! Well, it did! The head of it started spinning like the exorcist, and it flew off. Needless to say, I didnt get off!

  i spent the week-end putting this together.

  what a waste of time !!!

  imagine telling an elder that you didn't go out in the field service on saturday morning because you wanted to finish your puzzle..... poor elder would die of a heart attack.

  What kind of Apostate are you?

  i've been on this site now for a little while and think its brilliant and its been a tonic in getting things straight and for gathering research.

  (thanks simon & ang).

  in fact its difficult to get work done during the day because of reading posts on here.. a couple of months ago if someone wouldve asked me whether i was apostate i would have flatly refused partly because the indoctrination still has its effect even after a decade and the negative connotation attached to the word 'apostate' is still at the back of my mind.

  People could really argue on a topic like this.

  I am not an apostate!

  I am a former Jehovah's Witness.

  That is exactly how I see myself. I still love jehovah, just not the things the wts teaches. But sometimes I ask myself if that is because I was born and raised in the "truth" and thats all I know.
