  The fallout and the pain

  i got an email back from an elder this morning and it looks like the boe is going to treat my email as a letter of disassociation.

  he said he was sad but would forward my email to the congregation that currently has my publishers card.

  this wonderful elder also took the liberty of calling a brother that im really close to and told him about my email, he also sent him a copy (this brother is not an elder!).

  Everything I have believed in for years has turned out to be a lie; the people that I love and care about will be forced to choose to either be faithful to their god or have a relationship with me. I know what they will choose.

  You are probably right, at least if they are anything like my JW "friends" you probably wont' hear from them again, or if you do, it'll be to tell you to come back to meetings... That was hard for be to grasp and get over. However I now see that I have many more people to give my time and energy to that will love me for who I am and will be okay with what I believe or don't believe.Those that will prove to be TRUE friends. That is where those of us on JWD come into play....you can talk to us whenever and about whatever without worrying about being judged.

  Jehovahs Witness= JW

  "Dub" is short for "W" so when some of us refer to Jehovahs Witnesses we say JW, or J-DUB

  Memorial can be fun

  well after much agonizing i decided to go to memorial with my wife.

  but, we went to a hall on the other side of town where we didn't know anybody.

  i had my goatee going full force.

  Well if you HAD to go... at least you were able to make it fun!

  I bet the witnesses enjoyed it too. It always livened things up when someone "normal" would come for us to stare at! HA!

  Any plans for the long weekend?

  i am planning and getting ready to paint living room and kitchen.

  moving furniture and cleaning.

  sunday invited to cousins house for dinner, drinks, and gamble-ing.

  Yes, it’ll be a busy fun weekend for us.

  My sister in law and her boyfirend from out of town are coming to visit for the weekend.

  “Beautifulisfree” and hubby,& The “Gogetters” are having dinner with all of us tomorrow. Then maybe out for drinks and dancing.

  Saturday, we are celebrating Beautifulisfree’s 2 year wedding anniversary. Then out to see a cool local band play in the evening.

  Sunday, lunch at our house…..

  Hello..we're those TERRIBLE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES!!!

  inspired by scully's thread it made me think of what one elder used to use as his opening introduction in the ministry, which was the above statement.

  it's very funny now, but at the time i was like..'whhaaat??

  ' he thought it would put them at ease, make them think we had a sense of humour.

  When people would come to the door and say "I'm not interested" - I would respond: "Well, that's too bad. I was giving away hunderd dollar bills!!"

  I dont think that was listed as a response in the "Reasoning from the Scriptures" book. Shoulda been!!

  for starters, tonight, i'm going to hang out at my local church's neighborhood gathering and get some food, then i'm heading off to the local synagouge to celebrate my hebrew roots.

  I'm having dinner with my husbands family. We all left the cult around the same time and this is our first memorial that we won't be attending the KH!! Feels kinda weird, but in a good way.
  Yes, Wine and Bread will be consumed...but mainly because we are lushes and it also goes well with italian food! LOL!
