No, every time I arrived for a meeting, the doors were open.........sadly.

Were the doors locked at your KH, during meetings?
by JH ini remember a time when the brothers locked the doors during a meeting.
if you arrived late, they had to come and unlock the door to let you in.
i also remember a time when they weren't locked.

1914 Generation...
by Tuesday inforgive me i haven't been on the board in a bit, but what is the current train of thought on the 1914 generation never dying.
is the belief finally dead and they're now picking something else?
last i checked it was a broader sense of the word, like napolean's generation was like anyone from the 1800's or something.

Imagine - if Russell was resurrected tomorrow, he wouldn't recognise the religion he founded. It's a whole new concept now!

If they havent kept up the the chariot, they still think the 1914 gen is what dubs believe.
That'll be me then........
how on EARTH do they get away with it? Half the literature must be null and void now......wait, did I say HALF?

Just got back from the 2004-2005 circuit assembly here are a few thoughts.
by PaNiCAtTaCk inupon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.
they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.
i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.

A side benefit to exiting the borg
by AK - Jeff inmy wife and i made the fade in the past year or so - a side benefit is now beginning to become apparent.
our adult daughter, who was somewhat estranged due to being df'd has come back into our lives.
[we never did completely shun her, as we never agreed fully with that, but it was always strained because we were under the guilt trip].

Ah - silly me. I suppose, on the plus side, it's a bonus that the Society have been blessed with so many talented songwriters then!
