The problem with this division is that it's more than just "divide yourself", it's a division of family, of cultures, and it's easy to exploit. That division creates opposition because you know how much people hate being called wrong, and the bible promotes this intolerance. Thus creating major conflict, which creates fights and whatever have you. They are nice words but on a grand scale, just not feasible. I'd rather come up with a plan that is feasible.

End of the World Near?
by love2Bworldly ini am wondering how many people out there still believe that in the next 100 years or so that this world/earth is going to be destroyed?.
my husband is a christian, and sometimes he is obsessed with world events in the middle east and he thinks one day soon all the christians are going to be raptured away to heaven while the antichrist rules here on earth.
i am extremely uncomfortable when he talks about it because it reminds me of the jws.. any thoughts out there?

the children today hear sexual content many times out of the day.
i was never specifically worried about this since i am one of these young ones and it hasn't made me a raging ignorant sexual deviant anytime lately but it is something to consider.

A Good Escape Plan.
by Daunt ini'm planning on moving out from my jw parents house in about 7 months.
i'm trying to start a job and i already have a little money going into it (bout 2500 dollars little) however, mainly i just wanted to really know if this was the best course of action.
my parents are the usual jw's but i do love them, however, the pressure is just building up from all their jw reasoning and pressure and guilt trips and all that mess.

Well there's nothing wrong with expressing abstinence to be a great way to keep from getting pregnant and the sex issue over all, however, my main problem is how many folks went through this course. They made it abstinence only, no mention of contraceptive, no mention of any way to suppress those urges inside of you, and many ways just straight out lied. That's very dangerous to society which has been proven throughout this modern abstinence only sex campaign. However me personally I would put abstinence high on the agenda, because feeling pressured to have sex I feel should be criminal. However, suggesting that there are no alternatives instead of abstinence is criminal also imo.

I agree Pole. Religious philosophy can be easily exploited to following and control. However, you can learn many great things from eastern philosophy that's rational, reasonable, and logical. I wouldn't put these as an absolute law to anybody, but highly suggest reading it and seeing what it's all worth.

There isn't much solid sexual education going around these days. Bush's campaign for Abstinence only education has horribly fail while undereducating kids about sex (you can get AIDS from tears what a load of crock). So I would just like to see other people's views about our children's sexuality and ways to help them out on a grand scale. -

Sad but true sonnyboy. I'm trying to write to my legislators and other people in power to see a good focus on climate and how to help it. It is a very serious problem, summers are becoming unbareable. It's hard to stay outside longer than 10 minutes, and let's not even get to the thousands of species that have become exitinct around the world. We really need to act as a human race. I'm going to buy the first hydrogen car on the market eh.

I feel the same way. Climate wise we are very close to a ecological disaster, but it will take a lot for us to actually be wiped out from it. Me personally I don't really care when the world will end, I care more about not increasing it's arrival.
