P--------Thank you for your comments! Now that my friends, is COMPASSION! Also, based on your own experience, you have true understanding! NO NEED FOR ARROGANCE! I too was baptized in the 70's, I have been a pioneer, and a long time elders wife. I am now inactive, depressed, alone and trying to find my way. I LURK here for information. This is a welcoming board by the majority. Others, well they have their way of "exposing" themselves!

How can you read on this forum about the UN scandal, pediphilia, blood change, prophesy change......and not have your conscience affected? ANSWER: I CAN'T! What will I do with this information? I will continue to investigate, ask questions, find answers as many on this board have done and are still doing. Growth happens with knowledge! Everyday, new ones are welcomed on to this forum. WELCOMED!!! No answers are "EXPECTED", as if it were a Sunday WT study. I haven't seen a seperation where ones are expected to enter a line when they have reached a new level of understanding! The intelligence comes through from the ones with intelligence, those with arrogance come across as DOGMATIC whether they be a hardcore APOSTATE or a TROLL on a mission.

DEAR JEDI MASTER and JUNIOR MEMBER,

I guess I am nothing more then a NEWBIE. A LURKER even! WAKE UP and smell the COFFEE? YES MASTER. I found this forum quite by accident. I am astounded by the depth of the people here. I never fail to laugh and sometimes cry as I read the posts. I have never left this forum without something to THINK about. The one thing I am not delusional about is the recognition of ARROGANCE! You fit the bill! You would have made an outstanding ELDER. The tone of the post annoyed me! Junior member graciously apologized. As an inactive witness searching, lurking, maybe even trolling.....I never report back to anyone. There is wide range of personalities on this board, I have my favorites. Those with a deep sense of compassion and knowledge never feel the need to LORD it over. Those are the posts I savor! You JEDI MASTER have room for GROWTH!

I will say this: The tone of your message is somewhat offensive! Lurkers, or whatever you call yourselves???? I am just a confused person who found an interesting sight for information. What the HELL do you call YOURSELF!??? APOSTATE, PRIESTESS, KNOWLEDGEABLE ONE???? GET OVER YOURSELF, and allow ones to continue to seek information from a welcoming board!!!!

does this sound like the jw organization you know today?

yes, on july 17th, 1970, my wife and i were baptized as jws at the "men of good will" district assembly (convention today), at the oakland, california coliseum - where the raiders play.

nearly 70,000 attended, and over 750 were baptized ... and it all made the news in the san francisco chronicle & examiner and other newspapers and radio stations.

Your words meant so much to me. I was "raised" with the 'truth". My mother began studying when I was two, was baptized when I was four. I saw the progression you described with this organization. Your words rang true on it ALL! I have moments that I look back on with fondness, but the fear is foremost in my mind, it is hard to explain to anyone not raised with Armagedon hanging over them. I was baptized in 1974 at age 16. The love appears to be gone, and no paradise. I can't explain what that does to me.

It is an obsession which causes me guilt. I enjoy so many on this forum. From the relative youth of Richie Rich to the seasoned, like Blondie, Evilforce, Garybuss and so many more. I read with special interest those who have held "special privilege", ex-elders, bethel servants. Did they leave for good reason? I want to know? I don't know how much longer I can keep it up! I just don't believe anymore! Now what? Loose the ones I love? How do you walk away after 40+ years? Is that why you hang on? Attend conventions? When do you say enough is enough? I am tired! i am not a jevoha's witness...and i have some questions for you.. 1. wasn't jesus set to return in 1874 according to your history?.

2. if you believe the bible, the bible says that jesus came for the salvation of all men, not just 144000 of them.. 3. if only 144,000 people are allowed to go to heaven with god, then why did god send jesus to earth?

god's eternal life is a gift, not something you have to work for.. please reply

as a jw, when i'd find out someone got disfellowshipped, i'd shake my head and think, "what a selfish person.

choosing immorality (it had to be immorality) over jehovah.

i hope i never make such bad choices.

I always had such compassion and empathy for those Df'd. I think I always knew that no one is exempt from a big fall. When some disasociated themselves, I always had a great curiousity. I knew that no one would do that with out a great deal of thought. I now see it as true bravery and courage, so much can be lost from that decision.
