jehovah's witnesses believe that only 144,000 go to heaven, where as the bible teaches us that all who come to jesus can!

nothing in the bible for 144,000.. the bible teaches that salvation is not through religion, works, self righteousness or human effort.

but salvation is only through the person of the lord jesus christ.. feel free to watch below.

mark jones, a witness for over 30 years describes what jws call bible studies offered to the public.. .

"they (jehovah's witnesses) offer you a free home “bible” study - which turns out to be a study of a watchtower publication with the bible brought out as an afterthought to try and prop up whatever current idea the governing body are claiming is “the truth” this week.. i think it’s underhanded.. when my parents became jehovah’s witnesses and they offered people a free home “bible” study, this is what they brought to study with them:.

what, did you think they were going to study the bible with you?.

I was never pressured by JWs to donate a lot of money. That’s one thing I don’t think they can be accused of generally, which is a contrast with Mormons and Seventh-day Adventists in particular who tithe, but other churches too that have collections and insist on membership fees.

In my experience of Bible study with other groups (Unitarian, Christadelphian, Brethren, Seventh-day Adventists, Church of a Scotland, even Mormons) JWs are highly unusual in their style of quoting lots of single verses from the Bible to prove a point. For other groups Bible study consists of either reading a whole passage and discussing what it means or, if its a thematic approach, choosing a few passages on a similar theme. Quoting dozens of scattered verses to make a point just isn’t a thing in other churches. Actually there is one other church I encountered which has this same style of Bible study - the Iglesia ni Cristo.

the claim that russia blew up its own pipeline functions, whether intentionally or not, as a test of our collective intelligence, and it’s worrisome how many fail the test.

as a former pentagon official put it, “a child could tell you that doesn’t make sense”.

they talk a lot about russian propaganda and suppression of their media, which i don’t doubt for a minute.

According to Seymour Hersh, Biden pressured the German chancellor into accepting the US plan and it was at the press conference of that same meeting that Biden made his statement about the pipeline being “no more” if Russia invaded Ukraine. So it seems Biden did play a crucial role in the decision and communicating it to the “allies”.

It’s interesting that some US insiders argued against the plan because of the “backlash” the US would face if they were caught. Considering it has produced little more than a collective shrug in the west, it seems they worried unnecessarily, and the media and the population are even more servile than they imagined.

It’s a fixed pipeline between Russia and Germany. It’s not an asset you can pick up and move elsewhere. As long as the pipeline existed Russia had the power to switch it on or off. Now that it doesn’t exist they don’t have that power any more. There are only downsides for Russia in the pipeline being blown up and there are only upsides for the US. Like the ex-Pentagon guy said, a child could tell you Russia didn’t blow up its own pipeline. But in our media it’s either a “mystery”, or else Putin did it. The obvious alternative explanation is shot down or ignored altogether.

The only argument against the US doing seems to be “the US wouldn’t do that”. And the only argument for Russia doing it is “they’re crazy”. I find neither of these arguments compelling. They are an insult to our intelligence. The US has done worse in the past and lied about it, and Russian actions may be brutal and inhumane but they are not “irrational” as the west would make out.
